Solid, heavy adjustable lamp-- middling bulb, but works well enough.
When I first got this it smelled so strongly of chemical (plastic or paint?) that I left it on the porch outside for a full day to air out. Once I did that it was fine though.Nice adjustable lamp base- it has locking mechanisms at the top (bulb/head) and middle joints, along with a swivel lock at the base. I can't get the top lock to tighten enough to hold the head section *really* snug but it is tight enough that it holds for now.I do wonder if it will lose tension with time and use --a bit less grip and it wouldn't have enough friction to really hold the head angle. That's just a maybe, though. The base is quite heavy-- I can't imagine it losing its balance under normal use. If you are using this with a heat lamp, that's what you want to hear. The included cord is only about 3 feet long, with a toggle switch in-line-- so you might need an extension cord. It is a two-prong plug, so be aware that it's not grounded. The included heat bulb's red color glazing seems a little cheap. I don't have a spectrum reader so I can't verify the wavelength for certain. It is bright as you'd expect and feels hot up close.I have some premium-quality sauna lamps I will use instead--they are far superior to the included one. The metal guard is good to keep you from directly contacting the hot bulb surface.Overall, this is a pretty good unit. I advise you spend some money on better sauna bulbs to make the effort worthwhile. (I also use my LED red-light therapy NIR/IR bulbs in this-- works great for that too.)

Very good!
A good friend of mine had told me about her red-light therapy and told me it helped her with her aches and such. I was curious as my back is not the best- lots of falls over the years :0 but here we are. I thought I'd give this a try. I did quite a bit of research and comparing features and found this one made by HOAYKA store. Based on the information and visuals provided - I thought this sounded like a good choice. Now that I have this home and have had the time to try this out, I will say that I am DEFINITELY glad that I decided on this particular model and brand. The amount of relief from aches has been extraordinary really. I won't say that it relieves 100% but it is a HUGE improvement prior to owning this heat lamp.*Special features that led me to choose this one over others.-Near Infrared Therapy Heat lamp-premium grade materials-functions and operates as it should - no issues of tech or mechanical issues or failures-Material: Plastic-660nm visible-850 nm infrared wavelengths- this can be used on several body parts- shoulders, back etc.All in all, I find that the designer did a great job with creating this red-light therapy. My daughters are enjoying using this after their sports practices. Therefore, I would recommend this to other consumers. Thanks!

Not sure yet
This device puts off a pleasant warmth on arthritic joints. I like the self-standing feature, and the controls are well-designed. Whether red light therapy is a real thing for the long term, though, is still up in the air. A plain old heating pad seems to work just as well, if not better...

Works pretty good!
So I ordered this to see what all the hype was about with red light therapy. I am an Occupational Therapy Assistant & had been talking to colleagues about what they thought about the benefits it has regarding pain relief. It was mixed reviews so I've been trying it for myself. The product came unassembled but only took minutes to put together. I like the fact that the bulb will be easy to replace when needed as some I've seen are tedious to change out. I love that the neck it completely manuverable to fit where I wanted it. It is definitely very good quality.I heard more benefits for the skin than anything. It is so warm & soothing on my skin & body. I just had surgery on my mouth so I've been putting it over my face while making sure to cover my eyes well, to help with the inflammation in my face. I feel better after using it. I've only been using it a few days but so far I'm a fan!! I don't expect complete healing from it but using something is better than using nothing at all.I'm not a fan of such a high cost but with the percentage off or some money off I would definitely buy this!! I can't wait to see long term how this helps me!!

Made Tough - Great Red Light
We're a house of skeptics and while we enjoy the warmth of the light, I can't be sure if it's helping the actual joints and muscles or not. Between the heated massage chair for the back and this light for the front of knees, I must say it's like heaven though. As others stated, it is bigger and I wish I had more room for it. I also wish I enjoyed having it sitting in my living room - which I do not. So I do use periodically but not constantly which makes it hard to determine health benefits.

Good value for the price
Works well and is a good size. This lamp works well to help with my pain relief. It is ease to use and to change the settings. It is a good value for the quality, durability, functionality, sturdiness and price.

Great so far
I recently got this infrared lamp and I'm loving adding it to my relaxation after a bath or workout. I love how easily I can adjust the arm to target different areas, and the base is very sturdy and heavy so I feel like it wont tip while it is being used. The warmth is very soothing, I don't know much about red light therapy just yet, but I feel like I will learn more and this will be a game changer.
