Steinbach Krystal Clear 10-Foot Solar Pool Cover (Bubble tarpaulin of 2.87m Diameter for the pool of 305cm )

It's not a 'pool cover' like what you might think. It's large enough to hang over the side, but it's not meant to do that. Pull up the inflated part of the pool and tuck the extra bubble wrap material under. It's a perfect fit, and it stays in place, even in a rain storm. We've used this for about three weeks now. It's been great at keeping the leaves, nuts and other small debris out of the water, and it HAS made a big difference in the temperature. I bought this and the regular cover, which replaced the beat up one from last year, and the regular cover hasn't even been taken out of the box. I doubt I'll even use it. It's also SO much lighter and easier to take on and off than the regular cover. I wish I had found this last year.Summer 2016 update: had this cover two years. It's toast! It finally just degraded from being out in the sun. My regular pool cover is STILL in the box. This bubble wrap one is ridiculously easy to use, even on the upgraded 10' hard sided pool. Even the kids could take it on and off with no problems. The holes in the cover allow for drainage so it doesn't weigh twenty pounds when you're trying to remove it. And it DOES make a difference in the temp. After using this all year, with a consistent very warm temp, I (accidentally) left the cover off for about a week, and there was almost a ten degree drop in temperature! Absolutely worth the twenty bucks, which lasted two years. I'll be purchasing another one in the spring.

We love this cover. After using this cover for about a week, our pool water is nice and warm. Last year without the cover the water was cold and unpleasant to get into even when it was 90 degrees out. I would recommend this cover. It is easy to put on and take off and does what it supposed to do - keep your pool warm.I have seen a few poor reviews of the product saying that it doesn't keep debris out and is nothing more than bubble wrap. If you are looking for a solid cover to keep debris out, this is not the cover for you. This is a SOLAR cover designed to WARM your pool. Yes it is bubble wrap - thick bubble wrap, that fits your pool perfectly and just floats on the surface of the water. It does keep some larger debris and leave out but you are still going to have to skim the pool before each use. Lets get real people this is an inexpensive pool cover for a small stand up, backyard pool. This isn't the pool at the Bellagio!

We have had this cover for a month now. I am very impressed with how well it works! It makes a drastic difference in the water temperature. Our water got up to 90 degrees. The kids are able to swim and truly enjoy it now. It doesn't heat the water all the way through to the bottom of the pool, but it heats up the top half. It works out great because all you need to do is turn on the pump and get in the pool and it mixes up the water. I recommend this product especially for the great price!

I've owned blue bubble covers for my pools for thirty years, this is the worst one ever. near worthless. only virtue is that it stops evaporation. Its so thin that it doesn't retain heat overnight. The bubbles are so small that their ability to create solar heat is minimal. You can put your hand under the cover after its been in the sun all day and the temp difference going deeper is near zero. Its so lightweight that it has no body and is near impossible to put on the pool after swimming. Also if any rats or squirrels walk across, it will not support their weight and they will fall in and drown. I do not recommend. get a heavier cover and cut it down to dimension.

We have a 10 foot pool and I wanted to get this solar cover to help warm it up and make it a bit more enjoyable for us instead of ice cold water. It does help warm the water for sure. It's not going to get your pool water hot by any means but it does help take the edge off of ice cold out of the hose water. It took about 2 days to notice a difference in the water temperature.My only complaint with this is that is says it's for a 10 foot pool however the cover is bigger than I need it to be. Like maybe for a 12 foot pool. I thought it would fit nice inside the pool and float on top but it hangs over the edge. I intend to cut it down to fit, but really didn't think I should have to do that.If it's made to fit a 10-12 foot pool I think it should say that, rather than just a 10 foot pool. So it's bigger than needed which isn't a huge problem but that's why it didn't get 5 stars from me.

This is a wonderful and reasonable Solar sheet. It reminds me of the rolls of plastic bubble wrap. The problem was that there was a seam down the middle that when I opened it it was apart, the seam was split up about 12 inches. If it wouldn't have a seam in it it would probably be a great product. They returned it with no questions asked. I would buy it again if they take out the seam.

Ok, I was skeptical, but our water out of the tap is SO cold, that I had to try something for our 80" round wading pool. We fill it and wanted the water to last about 3 days, but until getting this thing it just got colder and colder.But this solar cover did the trick! I have to wrap the extra plastic under (could probably cut it off if I felt like it), but the water actually got a little too warm one day and we had to put more cool water in! Of course, we live in a sunny state, but the outdoor temps linger around 70. So this little pool warmer really turned things around for us! Now to get the hose vacuum thingie and we'll be set. Oh yeah, the cover does help keep bugs out (like mosquitoes laying eggs), but there are holes in the cover where I guess in an area with a lot of bugs they could still get in. We just don't have that many bugs here.

I read a ton of reviews before my purchase. i needed a cover to keep misc. debris out of my pool. And also to slow evaporation down.Hands down this cover was perfect. Yes, it is just a heavier duty bubble wrap with holes interspersed throughout. That being said my pool doesnt get debris and is quite comfortably warm and the pool water hasn't evaporated at all or at least not to the eye. If it lasts two seasons ill be more then happy.note: on a hot hot day you might have to pull the cover off. it will warm your water well past 80 degrees...

In light of Intex pulling their superb solar cover for the Easy series of pools, I decided that I would go with their new solar blanket. I am so disappointed with it's performance that I decided to return it.This blanket is just that - a blanket. It sits on top of the water instead of covering the whole pool top like the old one did. As a result, every time we took it off, debris fell into the pool, causing a lot more work. There is no question that this new design does not warm as well as the old one did.I can't recommend this product and furthermore, can not understand why Intex replaced a good product with this new one.

protege correctement la piscine des intrus (insectes, feuilles, projectiles d'oiseaux...), et apporte une sensible hausse de température. (sur les 10 premiers centimetres l'eau est tres chaude meme, si vous n'avez pas la pompe qui tourne pour brasser un peu)facile a mettre en place, pensez a la caler sous le boudin gonflable pour qu'elle tienne bien et qu'elle soit bien a plat sur l'eau.je suis tres satisfait du produit malgré son prix un peu élevé pour ce que c'est (le tiers voire la moitié du prix de la piscine quand meme...)

Is this a sheet of blue bubble wrap? Yes.But does it heat the pool? Yes.We have a 6ft Intex pool. I cut this down to size. It floats on the surface and transfers heat from the bubbles of the sheet into the water. I have been measuring the temperature of the water with a digital thermometer - on a sunny 22'c April today like today the water gets up to 18'c which is quite acceptable. It also helps to keep bits of leaves and bugs out of the pool at night.If you expect this to heat the water on a dull day you're clearly not very bright. The clue is in the name - 'solar' i.e. the conversion of sunlight into energy. Just set the pool up somewhere where it will be subject to the maximum amount of sunlight. Well worth the price and much cheaper that an overprices electricity-zapping pool heater.
