Umeya rice cracker hana arare is the type of rice crackers. Arare- small rice crackers made from sweet rice. Umeya is the only manufacturer of arare style rice crackers in the U.S. It is a traditional Japanese snack. Naturally low in fat with 0 g trans fat, they are a light and tasty alternative to potato chips. Often glazed with a blend of soy sauce and other savory flavors. Made from the finest California-grown rice, Umeya's crackers are toasted to perfection and packaged fresh each day, locking flavor and crispiness in conveniently sealed cello and foil bags. Review: Delicious - These are the best tasting rice crackers out there, plenty of rich flavor and nice and crispy. They're great to put out on the table when company is over or just for vegging out in front of the tv by yourself. My kids love them too! This big combo pack is a better price than most Japanese grocery stores too, which is about the only other place you can find this particular brand. Review: MSG gives me horrible headaches & is bad for people with all sorts ... - They taste ok but my fault for not reading label. These crackers contain MSG which most companies concerned about their food quality and ingredients have dropped as an ingredient. MSG gives me horrible headaches & is bad for people with all sorts of medical conditions. I was advised to keep away from it as an ingredient by my doctors as well. Wasted my money as I won't be eating them.

Better than your average supermarket rice cracker
Better than your average supermarket rice cracker, but there are two problems: first, there is MSG, and if you're sensitive to it like I am, you will feel it after eating a few handfuls. Second, whatever room you eat it in will develop a strong rice cracker odor. Neither of these problems occur with authentic japanese rice-crackers I get in asian groceries.

perfect flavor, wished it had more variety instead of just one shape and flavor!
Unlike many rice crackers I've tried here in the US and lacked flavor or didn't have a taste at all. these were very tasty and fresh and stayed fresh for the longest time even when the bag was open. I just wished that it had more shapes and flavors cuz it just comes with the flower like one.

Good anytime snack
This is a great anytime snack and also wonderful to pour into a bowl to serve guests. I wish it had some variety of seaweed wrapped crackers in it, but it's super tasty. Even my partner, who is not exactly the most open-minded when it comes to food, found that he enjoyed them.

Contains Fish and MSG---Non-Vegetarian
I would give less than 1 star if I could. They contain FISH and MSG. It says they have "bonita and bonita flavoring" well I found out today after eating 1/2 a bag that bonita is fish. It did not list in the description that these were made of fish. I am vegetarian and I do not eat fish. Not a vegan or vegetarian product. I'm trashing the rest.

happy they are on amazon
grew up eating these rice crackers and the only other place i could find them was at the japanese market. it is nice to find them on amazon.com as it is much more convenient buying them online than travelling to the japanese market. they are the only rice cracker i eat. they are tasty, satisfying, and a healthy snack.
