Seems perfect
I don't often make or eat sweet things, it's salty and savory snacks that tempt me. But now and then I want something sweet. I became aware of allulose by way of a Dr Weil article where someone was asking about it. Weil did not have any negative opinions so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm not diabetic or overweight but am convinced that sugar is bad for my health. This "rare sugar" seems like a win/win to me, aside from the cost. I've tried stevia and a few other sugar substitutes and have disliked them all. I can detect stevia in a product from a mile away and the chemical sweeteners cause me to be in a very bad mood. And they all taste bad. But this stuff tastes really good and so far I've experienced no side effects from consuming it. I've used it in hot green tea and in a batch of banana nut muffins. When I bake I always use less sugar than the recipe calls for because I like tasting all the components of the food, not just sugar. So for me the fact that allulose is less sweet is perfect, I use the same amount that the recipe suggests and those muffins turned out wonderfully delicious. I am a little confused because Weil says allulose is found in wheat, figs, and raisins, yet this product is made from corn. Also I wish there was an organic version because I care less about if the corn is GMO than if the corn is full of pesticides.

Excellent alternative to sugar!
I wasn’t expecting anything miraculous.......and got what I expected, but a little more pleased than I thought I would be. One: it is not as sweet as sugar......probably 1/2-3/4 as sweet. For those who are doing low carb, since your sweetness desire has decreased, this may fit the bill for you. Comparing it to erythritol/erythritol-monkfruit blend, it is not as sweet. However, what I like MUCH better is that this DISSOLVES......and, if you make a dessert that is a refrigerated or frozen dessert, it does not crystallize, which really bummed me about erythritol. Another thing that for some will be a real benefit: no cooling effect. I also bought a bag of powder monkfruit, so I will be playing with that to increase the sweetness level. All in all, I definitely recommend this product. For me, it works far better in many of the desserts I like to make.....but as I said, I am playing with the sweetness level because I personally like some of the desserts I make to be sweeter.

Not a great value
I like that there was no unpleasent after taste. The value is lost because you have to use so much to taste the sweetness. I made Keto fat bombs and almond flour orange cake. They both turned out great. The cost will make me limit use for Keto desserts or snacks. None of the sugar substitutes are made with any budget value. They support the diet but not the wallet.

Love the health benefits
This doesn’t seem to cause bloating or other stomach problems the way monk fruit & other sweeteners do. I’ve read that it can actually help you lose weight too because it somehow stimulates GLP-1, the same thing ozempic does.It can also lower glucose spikes which other sweeteners can actually cause! In my opinion, this is one of the healthiest sweeteners. For the most part, I’ve cut out processed sugar and don’t feel the need to make everything sweet. This isn’t as sweet as sugar but I like adding a little bit to my unsweetened protein powder, chai tea, or matcha.I have not used it in any baked goods or things like that, but from what I’ve read it’s not quite as versatile as other sweeteners and not 100% a sugar replacement.Overall, this is my favorite sweetener outside of honey and maple syrup!

Just the right taste for me

100% Honest review..
I was SOOOO SKEPTICAL of this allulose sweetener. I am extreme low carb and diabetic. Down side of low carb is having no sugar/carbs, at all. I HATE every single sugar substitute out there, and I have tried them ALL, and I do mean ALL, in hopes of finding a substitute I could live with and all are YUCK. I just cannot handle even the slightest "fake" sugar taste. I cannot stand the taste even in anything like diet drinks, 0g carb water flavors, sugar free candies, sugar free creamers, absolutely nothing with sugar substitutes because I taste even the slightest tiny bit of sugar substitutes not to mention some give me awful digestion issues. I stumbled on this allulose by accident and after reading reviews I thought, too good to be true. So I did A LOT of research, days worth, on this allulose sweetener and read every single review I could find and I thought, there is NO WAY this will taste like sugar like claimed AND be 0g net carbs. Figured I would take a chance, I mean , I have tried EVERYTHING else. Received it and it is not as sweet as sugar, as the product states, BUT, for me, 1.5 tblsp of allulose tastes the exact same as around 1 tblsp of regular sugar!! You just have to use more of the allulose but it REALLY does taste like regular sugar. I was so shocked. It is white like sugar and has the same granular texture. I have used it in my tea, dissolved like regular sugar, in baking, baked perfect, added some to unsweetened bakers chocolate and melted on stove and it melted perfectly, add it to my coffee and it dissolves perfectly! I have never been so excited over a product in my entire life!! Made very low carb cookies with it.. they were amazing. My children, husband, mother and in-laws have all tasted it too. I gave them 2 spoons, 1 with regular sugar 1 with allulose and they could not tell which was which! Some reviews say it just is not sweet enough, but you just have to find the right amount for your preference to get the same sweetness as regular sugar and I absolutely cannot tell a difference between it and regular sugar when enough is used. AND, the best part, no aftertaste! Not even a slight after taste or cool sensation or anything at all, I could not believe it, I almost cried I was so happy! FINALLY, a sugar substitute that is amazing! I understand the body does not digest allulose like normal and etc. and that is why it is 0g net carbs, BUT, still hard to believe a product that tastes like sugar is 0g net carbs., so I am hoping it is true and really is 0g net carbs. So far I am still in ketosis after consuming this too, so if you are low carb, THIS IS THE BEST sugar substitute ever! I have had no blood sugar spikes with it either. The only CON to this allulose sweetener is the cost versus how much you get. Very expensive for a bag of sugar sweetener but, what healthier food options aren't more expensive now days? Would be very nice if the cost was less, I will use it sparingly because it does cost so much and you do have to use more of the product than regular sugar, but I still highly recommend this product! I will be purchasing this for life!! If you are looking for a sugar substitute without an after taste, no cooling nasty taste, or etc. then this is sugar substitute for you. And I am NOT leaving this review as part of a promotion or receiving compensation or anything. Just a 100% honest consumer review. Hands down the best sugar substitute EVER!EDITED...UPDATED REVIEW: so as you can read I thought allulose was the holy grail for sugar replacements. This was sadly only temporary for my family though. After using it for awhile I started developing severe digestive issues everytime I ate any allulose. At first, it had no aftertaste to any of my family. But just as GI issues started, so did a nasty taste everytime we ate allulose that we could not get rid of. At first we thought it was not the allulose and so we 1 by 1 eliminated things. Eventually we figured out it WAS the allulose and stopped using it completely and we never had any GI issues or nasty taste since. It was the allulose all along! Sadly, what I thought was my saving grace while on keto turned out to not be at all. It actually caused my inflammatory bowel disease to flare when using it and I had severe GI issues with it, it was awful. I am not saying this will happen to everyone, as I first reviewed allulose you can see how much I originally loved it, but this is my honest review after using it awhile and my experience with it. I have since found swerve confectioners and allulose has nothing on swerve. I have been using swerve for months in absolutely everything with NO aftertaste or GI upset at all and it is hands down is better than allulose taste wise. I wish I had found swerve confectioners 1st. Your experience could very well be different, I would say it is always worth a try. But it ended up absolutely not being for me and my family.
