Please save your time and money and DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT buy this! I read all the reviews stating that the bottom of the reusable filter was solid and not mesh like it should be, but some other reviews said the product was great, so I figured I’d give it a shot. I was intrigued by the price, since it included a bunch of charcoal water filters for the coffee pot too. HUGE mistake. Thankfully I’m able to return it for a full refund, but it’s just SO frustrating and a major waste of my time. I’m blown away by the fact that Amazon even allows these “companies” to sell total junk, knock off products. I literally put it all back in the box and sealed it back up within 2 minutes of opening it. I honestly didn’t try the filters, but they were not the same as the one I received in my new Mr Coffee pot. I’ve bought off brand charcoal filters for my old coffee pot from amazon dozens of times with no problem at all, but these ones weren’t right. If you had success with them, I’m glad for you, but the black rim around the filter disc was way too thick for my pot. Ugh, so annoyed!

The basket that arrived in our order is not the basket shown in the picture. The basket shown in the picture has a mesh bottom: the one we received has a solid bottom. This backs up the coffee maker and puts coffee all over the floor. We have tried it several times, and we have gone back to paper baskets just to be sure it wasn’t some other problem with the Mr Coffee maker itself. It is definitely this plastic basket with a solid bottom. What a mess

i bought one filter at walmart and it was nearly 6$ buying on Amazon i received 12 and got a filter basket as well for 3$ more

These work good and are a much cheaper alternative to the Mr. Coffee brand water filters. With all the minerals and chemicals in water i think a basic water filter even for your coffee is a great idea. Some users have mistook this product for a regular coffee filter, well it's not, it's a water filter that sits above the coffee grounds and the regular coffee filter. The cons are sometimes you end up with little charcoal bits in your coffee which are tasteless, it doesn't bother me but it does bother my room mate. Just an fyi. I purchased a new Mr. coffee machine and found the water was passing through the paper filter and grounds too quickly resulting in weak coffee. I now use this metal filter with plastic bottom in addition to a paper filter to slow down the brewing process and get more richness and flavor from my coffee.

At 4am every morning I am on autopilot and fumbling with paper filters just doesn't work for me. This reusable filter works great. Easy to use as well as clean up afterwards.The charcoal filters were an added bonus. Not sure how effective they are but I do have them installed. I assume the filters if nothing else could filter my big city water.All in all this product met my expectations.

LOVE THE PERMANENT BASKET.. THE CHARCHOL FILTERS TO PURIFY YOUR WATER I TRIED AND AFTER USING A TIME OR TWO CAUSED THE WATER TO RUN OUT ONTO THE COUNTER LIKE THE WATER WASNT PASSING THROUGH THE CHARCOAL FILTER.. SO I DONT EVEN USE THE CHARCOAL FILTERS NOW

Remove the chlorine taste from our tap waterWell the basket works just fine even if it takes some time to clean it.The filters did not however perform well. In fact they did not remove any of that unpleasant taste.Verdict: Buy the basket. Forget the filters.
