Al's wire tape is 100 lineal feet in length and is used when a fast setting material is applied to a surface that needs to have a sharp clean tape line and standard masking tape won't do the job. It has a high tensile strength steel wire in the tape that will cut through most materials to create the tape line you desire. The wire is extremely tough and should be handled with care. Simply place the side of the tape that has the wire on it to make a perfect line every time. It is thin enough to be flexible, so creating unique lines is an added advantage of this product. Our edge cutting tape uses a small high-strength steel wire, adhered to the edge of adhesive tape. It is then positioned on a surface along the desired trim line where the coating is to be applied. After applying a coating, the filament is pulled upwards from underneath the new coating. This provides a clean cut from the bottom up, separating the masking material and tape for easy removal from the border of the new coating. This method is designed to create a perfect edge without leaving a mark or damaging the exposed surface or disturbing the adhesion of the new coating. Using wire tape on a bed liner install elimites the need to use a knife in the trimming process, making it a great time saving option. It also reduces the likelihood of damaging a truck bed as you will not have to trim the lines with a knife and risk scratching the paint.

Too Sticky
Your mileage may vary, but I would not recommend this product. I was trying to spray bed liner directly to the primer without painting. When I removed the tape a lot of the adhesive stayed behind and was amazingly hard if not impossible to remove. I would've had satisfactory results had I just used blue or green painters tape. The edges would've been no less sharp. This was a total waste of time and money for me. It might work if you're adding bed liner over existing paint and clear coat, but don't stick this stuff to primer, at least don't unless you've already added a layer of regular tape to stick this tape to.
