this is a 'rare earth' in dried picnic food with good taste

I am in love with these meals and they are easy to prepare to eat. The taste is great compared to military MRE's. I have also tried to prepare one with just room temperature water it works good and still good quality when done, I just takes longer to prepare . A great addition to backup food storage supply ! I have a total of 3 pails of this dehydrated food.

Living in a hurricane prone area of the US, we have a good supply of emergency items. We also RV/remote camp quite a bit and take emergency rations with us as well. Great for those late night arrivals or just bad weather and we want something fast and filling. Needed a new container and went first to the actual website and saw the prices and then checked here on Amazon and saw I could save a few bucks on the bucket and shipping. I like this bucket as the selection has the meals we really like. Great shelf life, bucket makes for easy storage.

Haven’t tried any yet but the bucket is good quality. The meals contains protein which was a must for me. When I looked at a lot of the competitors their emergency kits didn’t have any protein included and a list of empty carbs. This gives me some security. Will update when we try a few of the meals.

Good value, storage life is great! Was sealed very well and every meal inside was individually sealed as well. We tried a few a they taste great for freeze dried foods!

I’ve been following Mountain House Meals for quite some time now and according to all of the reviews , they recommend them for Taste , Quality and Shelf Life. I’m into Prepping and SHTF. I plan to store these meals for a rainy day and according to the expiration date they’ll expire in 2055. I don’t believe that they’ll last this long but 10 to 15 years it’s a posibility. I’ve made an investment without having tried them but I’ll take my chances. They come individually packaged and also sealed in a bucket and just store them in a dry and cool spot. I gave them four stars because I’m not consuming them at the moment so I’m not sure if they’ll last that long. Also with all that’s going on in Ukraine, Israel and Civil Unrest here at home , I guess being prepared for what may come tomorrow is a good and wise decision.
