If you are preparing for upsc geography optional.. Then it will help you to understand the basics of economic geography.. But I felt most of the human geo syllabus were covered in MH human geo book itself in a nice way.. So I think (it is totally optional).

Bought the book for Social Geography, but there isn't much focus on it. It has amazing material for population, economic and settlement geography & planning. Brief yet covers all important points.Page quality is good and the book is quite light weight. Recommended!
