Easter Chocolate Candy Hearts Gift Box, 3.7 oz, 10 pc Assorted Praliné Candies, Belgian White, Milk & Dark Chocolate, Easter Gifts for Couples

This was my first time trying GuyLian Valentine’s Day Belgian Chocolate Hearts, but it will not be my last. This is gourmet chocolate at its finest. I would put this chocolate up against any of the luxury chocolate on the market today. The heartbox is so lovely. The chocolates were all delicious and tasted so fresh. My entire family loved them, and it is hard for us all to agree on chocolates. I love the little heart that is on the front that you can write in who it is “To” and “From” I will be ordering more of these to give as Valentine’s Day gifts.

This review is for the GuyLian box of 12 praline candies. They come in a heart-shaped cardboard box and each of the candies are heart-shaped as well. The predominant flavor is (of course) hazelnut, but the chocolates come in white, milk, and dark. It was hard for me to tell the milk and dark apart. These don't have an overwhelming hazelnut flavor, either, I think—not a strong Nutella-like taste, at least. They're good chocolate and a satisfying size, though.

Melted but still good

I ordered 3 boxes of chocolates, and all 3 were melted. I am returning 1, but my kids are their boxes before I could stop them. I ordered them to arrive during a cold snap because I was trying to avoid melted chocolate, but they were melted anyway. My kids said they “still tasted good,” but I would rather have returned all of them.

The inside part of the package is shrink wrapped to preserve freshness. The chocolate coating on each of these is very high quality and is polished, so they're shiny and have a very neat pattern to them. It tastes like really good chocolate, and the praline center is soft with great hazelnut flavor. This would make an excellent gift for Valentine's day.

Not only are these chocolates delicious (of course) they're gorgeous. I obviously am no chocolatier, but it's really cool how they can make the various swirls and shades of brown in the chocolate itself. The chocolates are really very attractive, in addition to their rich, amazing flavor. Unfortunately, not the most cost-effective treats on the market, but a great gift for Valentines Day or anytime you want to express love to someone who really likes chocolate.

While they do look different, I would say that each chocolate tastes the same. They're all delicious but I did struggle to tell the difference between the milk, white, and dark chocolate varieties. The praline flavor is fantastic. They melt in your mouth and are very rich. This heart contains 10 chocolates and they are not individually wrapped so plan to eat them quickly to transfer to a different air tight container.
