I love this beautiful, accurate, textured rendition of the moon. I purchased the largest size, about 8.5 inches. After 7 hours of steady on, full white, it is slowly dimming. I expect that in a lower, dim mode it will last longer. However, 7 hours is a long time for one charge. I wonder how many charge cycles the internal battery will last. The small, included 4 inch stand is workable but just three points, tri-pod would be OK for a smaller unit. The cost is for the moon itself not the stand. I would suggest a larger, different stand would make this beautiful item more interesting and stable. I have ordered a larger, more interesting 5 point stand for this beautiful moon. The weight is not a concern as even the largest moon size is just under 1 pound.

That's no moon....
It doesn't light up while charging. Let me repeat that. IT DOES NOT LIGHT UP WHILE IT'S BEING CHARGED. Wish I'd seen that in the reviews, because I wouldn't have bought it.You're only supposed to leave if plugged in for 6 hours which means NOT overnight. NOT while you're out at work. You only get to charge it when you want to have it illuminated and you can't do both. That means I have a $40 paperweight.

Looks like a real moon
I bought this for a photoshoot in the clouds and it was the perfect touch! It's a little smaller than a basketball and shines so bright. My pictures are in the dark and it was a big contributor but such a beautiful moon. It really looks like moon in your hands. If you do photography get this as a prop or the kids will love it in there room. I've had no problems with the battery. I had it off and in for hours and I didn't charge it long.

Absolute GARBAGE
I bought 2, one worked three times, the other worked four times-neither lamp lasted a week! Nothing but overpriced chinese garbage.

Stunning moon light
Love this!!! It looks amazing and we get so many compliments. The 3d aspect makes it look and feel very cool. Wish it held a charge a bit longer or could light up while charging, but it does stay lit for a few hours between charges.
