Incredible For the Size
I can't believe I am on Amazon giving this item a 5 star review. I've welded for decades and always wanted something that was ultra portable to fit in a small bag for fence repairs, around-the-house repairs, etc. I bought this item fully thinking that I would send it back and here I am instead writing a positive review. You're not going to repair a ship hull with this handheld welder but fences, metal up to 1/8" or 10 gauge, I'd recommend it without any hesitation. The wire feed is smooth, power draw doesn't trip 15amp 110v breakers and the build quality feels pretty good for this price point. It uses your standard contact tips, too, which is nice.If you're looking for a competent welder and you have a priority on size and convenience, this is a great product at this price. I'll, of course, still be using my Miller and Simder for bigger welding jobs in my shop but for repairs at friends house or around my property, this is my new favorite welder. Really think it's worth this proce point and can't believe they fit something this powerful into such a small package. Highly recommended.

It can weld up to 1/4" metal easily
I've welded a lot of stuff this welder I had to buy some more wire which is easy to load easy to handle, you can weld up to quarter inch if you know what you're doing, I like how you can adjust the heat and speed especially on a thin metal, my only complaint is so top heavy it's always falling over and I'm afraid it's going to break parts I've been thinking about making a wider base or to set it in while I'm not using it and have to set it down, I like it especially the fact that I don't have lease a gas bottle, you plug it in make sure the ground is connecting and you have bare metal to start the weld and it does a really good job I'm impressed.

Easy and performance well
This mig welder works well although wish the dials were more informative than just dash marks. At lowest setting and slowest speed this unit can still burn through thinner materials.Instructions could use some work especially concerning the tensioning and feed of machine.Only have used it on stainless steel with flux core stainless steel wire. Little splatter when used with nozzle gel.Good value for the money and love portability, just wish it came with case or one was available.

Works Great for Fluxcore Welding!!
This is a very good fluxcore welder when you get the settings right. Small and portable for small quick jobs. I would like to see if I can add shielding gas for mig welding. That would make it even better.

I LOVE THIS THING!!!
Very simple setup. Robust construction. I bought it to supplement my TIG welder for dirtier jobs. I used it to weld a simple frame this evening. Once I got the hang of the spool of wire and the amp settings I went to town! It welds cleanly with little practice and I was able to make a simple frame for a rolling tub in no time. I would recommend this for outdoor use if you need something portable and quick and don't have alot of time for prep work. I beat the heck out of the test weld to see if it would hold and it didn't budge! The welds will need proper cleanup once they cool. But I am confident they will look as good as any of my TIG welding projects. Solid buy!!!

Easy for a beginner to operate it.
I am a rookie welder. This is much easier than stick welding. Nice and easy set up. Caveat: do not release the wire from the spool before you attach it to the body of the machine or it unwind wildly . I learned the hard way…

Too sensitive, goes into limp mode too fast for too long.
Works when it wants to, and it hardly ever wants to. Used it to weld galvanized steel together for about an hour before it just stopped arcing altogether. Even when putting wire to the ground clamp and pulling the trigger, nothing happened. No indication of overheating, or over voltage. It will remain on, and still feed wire, but simply will not arc no matter what I do. When it works, it produces a good quality weld on most materials, but any attempt to weld for longer than an hour or so, and it goes into limp mode, and won't arc until you unplug it and leave it alone for 3 or 4 hours. I don't even think the temp indicator works on it. They need to find a way to fix the no-arcing problem for this to be worth the money they're asking for it, because as it stands now, this thing isn't worth 60 bucks in my opinion.

Weak plastic everywhere
Works well for thin metal very weak plastic pieces should be more metal. One of the hinges broke and the piece that holds the spool on broke as well. Can't find replacement plan on modifying it to be a bit better for what I am using it for .
