Having recently bought a house in the west of Ireland (notoriously, cold and windy). The antiquated wall mounted fan heater required replacement. This is a classic model which was a direct replacement for the defunct unit. My wife was extremely sceptical as she felt the central heating system or sufficient. By using this time, controlled and modestly powered unit on a pre-and post-shower basis, the improved and eco-efficient, thermal credentials have proven themselves both ethically and economically. The money we have saved has been ploughed into a bitcoin investment program which has yielded , tens of hundreds of thousands of millions of pounds (on screen display on my iPhone means it must be true). In conclusion, not only does it saves money, but those savings can be put to good use. The one star review for manoeuverability reflects the fact you have to fix it to the wall and leave it there!.

The heater arrived promptly and was wellpackaged. It looked as new and was easy to install. It is easy to use and the timer on the heater makes it ecconomical. The heater is reasonably priced although an addition of a pre connected would be better.

I was so pleased that these are still available. We had an older one for about seven years when the pull switch failed. I didn't want to rewire or drill new holes in my ceramic bathroom tiles and so was delighted to see this was a direct replacement and fitted the same holes. It lost a star because I think the design has a dangerous flaw. When the old one failed the heater was stuck in the on position because it operates on an internal rocker. When the rocker snaps at the weak point in the middle you cannot apply upward pressure on the internal on/off switch, so you need to visit the fuse box and remove the fuse or risk taking the cover off and carefully clicking the power switch off. This flaw is still present in the replacement model. I was also confused as to what "re-manufactured" meant and it almost led me to not purchase the unit as it is not adequately explained anywhere. As a side note, if your internal on/off rocker switch fails, they are available as a spare (although expensive for what they are). This suggests to me that this happens quite often.

This is now the third Dimplex FX20VE Heater I have purchased and they have all gone wrong within three months. On trying to get the latest one returned I am told by the supplier that it is outside guarantee. It was purchased in August this year.

This is the second one purchased in 3 years the new one being only 3 months old, the fan inside is plastic and the fins keep breaking off this one lasted only 3 weeks , I have now spent a long time trying to return this faulty item but getting no where, Dimplex say return to the supplier, the supplier says return it to Amazon, tried contacted them but had no reply but I will carry on my pursuit.
