i have acid reflux. i take ppis, reluctantly, but needed something in between. use these when flying, overindulge, anxious, etc. work well. very mild flavor. after about 10 minutes they get really dry. i think when chewing at first, mixed with your saliva, it’s like taking a couple alka seltzer tablets but more convenient.

So glad they brought these back! I love the ease of having them in my purse for heartburn and indigestion. They aren’t the best medicine but they do the job in a pinch!

Okay, kind of chalky tasting

I never thought to include heartburn gum in a gift basket for an expecting mom, but now that I've walked the road, it is an essential. In the 3rd trimester of my pregnancy, after battling with the worst heartburn and acid reflux since the end of the 2nd trimester, i found these Alka-Seltzer gums, and i am so happy i bought it. I went from no sleep at night when my heartburn and reflux was the worst, to several hours of undisturbed sleep. Pros: 1. They taste minty, but not overpowering. 2. The value for your money is great, as it comes with several sleeves and you don't need to eat many to see results. 3. The ingredients are safe and easy to digest for pregnant women who are so very vulnerable. Cons: 1. Perhaps some would agrue that when you first bite into it there is a bit of an ashy taste that you have to get through. It didn't bother me much, as it didn't leave an aftertaste and was the only product that was able to calm my volcanic stomach acids. I highly recommend!!
