Dell S2419H S Series Monitor 24" Black

I wanted a monitor with good built-in speakers, to eliminate desk clutter as much as possible. I don't game, but occasionally watch TV from my PC, so I wanted a clear picture and decent speakers. This Dell S2719H-S fit the bill perfectly. Controls are easy and there are preset buttons under the screen to make monitor changes to suit how you want it to look. The sound comes from my PC via HDMI, so no need to run an extra cable for sound. Bonus. Speakers are nice and clear thanks to Dell's MAXX audio setting which makes them sound much fuller when it's turned on. Without it, the speakers sound tinny, so I leave it on all the time. Dell also has an application on their website called "Dell Display Manager" which let's you further customize how the monitor behaves based on what applications you're running. My only gripe (and it's very minor) is how the monitor sits in it's stand. The monitor itself stays in place via gravity on the stand, and it's a bit wobbly if you try to tilt the monitor angle back or forth. Doesn't feel 100% secure but it is. If you're going to tilt the monitor do it from the bottom sides of the monitor, and not the top.

The Dell S2719H S Series Black 27" Monitor is a wonderful display monitor. I like the display quality and the two built-in speakers have a quality sound and helps to clean up needed desk space. I like the shape of base too. The monitor is connected using a HDMI cable for high picture and sound quality. I personally like the slightly reflective finish of this monitor's screen surface instead of having a matte finish because it produces a better image in my opinion. Once the monitor is turned On you do not see the slightly reflective surface of the monitor screen. Excellent product!

I needed this monitor for work & a bit of gaming. It’s absoultely beautiful. It’s very color correct for the price. The speakers sound great, very bassy. The thin bezels are very modern. I enjoy the crisp glossy display. But surprisingly it doesn’t really reflect its surroundings. It’s like a beautiful iPhone screen. It works for gaming if you want a more colorful image that pops as opposed to a higher refresh rate, all though I did manage to overclock the hz a little bit.

Great monitor and excellent sound. Sturdy base and assembled in like 30 seconds. The problem is that it comes with an HDMI cable that has the "Display Port" connector on both ends. This will not plug into a Lenovo docking station. The monitor is good for the price (I grabbed it for 137$ plus tax) . The first one I got had backlight bleed at one of the corners. The second one I got doesn't have the problem but has more IPS glow. It is however quite uniform. Most IPS screens do have the glow. So I'm not deducting a star for it. The included 2x3 W speakers are decent. No bass whatsoever but good enough to watch TV shows, youtube videos, etc. The pictures I've attached were all taken in the dark with my phone.

Significant pixel inversion (vertical lines) and color balance issues rendered this monitor unusable for me. While minimal lines are a given with LCD LED devices these were so pronounced even with static images such as desktop icons and photographs as to make it difficult to focus on the tasks at hand. The problem persisted across three separate Apple Macintosh computers, two of which had built in HDMI ports (color balance was somewhat better but there was no improvement with pixel inversion on these models). Multiple combinations of settings adjustments (on both the monitor itself and the computer it was attached to) yielded no successful resolution of the issue. The stand which has a metal appearance is actually a strong plastic which while better than many other plastic stands still doesn’t deliver the stability of a metal stand. The on screen menu controls, however, were extremely easy to access and intuitive to use.

She takes a lot of digital photos and edits them on her system. The viewing quality of what she works with is Excellent. This monitor is under-rated. Can stand up with many others that I have seen. If you want excellent quality and a great price...grab this one!

Colors are true and picture is sharp with no distortion or dead pixels. Each built-in is speaker is rated at 5 watts and uses DELL's Waves MaxxAudio. Most monitor built-in speakers are 2-3 Watts. The sound is very good and would rival many standalone speakers. If desk space is a premium, this monitor should be seriously considered. Also came with a HDMI cable.

PROS: - Minimal Screen Bleed compared to my returned screen (LG 24MP88HV & Asus VZ249H) - 15K price is worth for this beautiful screen - The inbuilt speakers with MAXX Audio give very good sound compared to the LG (LG is louder, Dell is clearer) - The Matt+Gloss Finish should be fine for any one as long as it is not direct light window near by. (I was using an older Dell with full Gloss, it was superb quality but the gloss was an issue. And matt screen does not give much color popping comparatively hence dont go for it if you prefer to watch anything colourful :P) CONS: - Actually none, fully satisfied. I am not posting pics now, will do later if possible.

I was looking for a good monitor with sound for my desk at work. This is perfect. I was able to de-clutter my desk by getting rid of the external speakers.
