Medieval Scapini Tarot Deck

I couldn’t wait to write a review, this deck fully deserves it. First of all, I couldn’t believe Amazon made me the pleasure to sell it at such a good price! This is an object of art. The printing is so exquisite, it makes reading these cards a unique experience. The RWT symbols are adapted by Scapini to the Renaissance tradition, which is extremely interesting; although it not once changes the meaning of the cards, this only makes this deck more appealing. This deck is definitely a must! For as long as it can be bought at such an attractive price, I really don’t understand how it’s still available.

This is a solid deck. I love illustrated pip cards ( ace through nine) and this deck doesn’t disappoint! I have over 121 decks and I really enjoy Scapini’s take on some cards. All except the lovers which will always mean ambivalence vs love, union of ecclesiastical people vs a couple but that’s ok. The other cards are great. I feel like decks fall into several categories; great art with limited knowledge of the tarot, old timey woodcuts with weird lions (it’s ok most 17th century European artists didn’t know what a lion looked like), super symbolic esoterica where the art suffers, cartoony (I’m looking at you-RWS) and Crowley’s or Éteilla’s (Alliette’s) Thoth Deck (perfection). This one delights in the old timey woodcut vibe but I think it’s actually from the mid sixties. It’s good none the less. I put it in third after Eteilla & Vachetta’s for that style and of course the classic OG, the TdM. I’m partial to both Noblet and the Sophistiqué. At any rate this deck is good for cartomancy as far as how I read which is what I’ve always deemed over 35yrs to be ‘intuitively’ but after reading 5 Camelia Elias books, perhaps also in that vein but with a lil auditory psychic stuff for good measure and that pizazz. I find that This deck allows for all this. 5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

When I decided to purchase a used deck from an Amazon seller, I assumed I was going to receive a reprinted 2005 edition, since the price point was so low. I was 100% THRILLED when I instead received a vintage 1984 FIRST EDITION copy in pristine condition!!! A million thank-yous to the seller for making me a happy, happy, happy collector! Gold Standard Seller!This deck is a classic - each card is a work of art - the gold backgrounds and silver accents give each scene an almost 3D-like quality and really animates every card! A person can spend hours discovering all the symbols and allegories hidden within each card. The card stock is typical US Games fare - medium build and sturdy - keep in mind the 21st century version (also by US Games) may have a different card stock. This is a gem!

Beautifully illustrated card deck. Fantastic artwork. They are copies of one of the original Tarot decks made for the Royal Courts of the 12th-13th centuries. These are actually way too beautiful to use everyday and bend to shuffle! The gilded gold plating is magnificent on these. I suggest buying two of these decks. I collect all the ancient Tarot decks. This is an excellent addition to anyone's collection When I read to help someone, I have a rather unique approach to reading that is steeped heavily into Catholicism and Christianity. I go to an extreme by some people's standards. I also implement Holy Water from Lourdes and the Holy Rosary as I read. I know that our Guardian Angels whisper to us if we would only listen. I ask them to guide me as I help someone in a dilemma and to steer them from evil. Always remember that it is your own energy and that of your client's that bring any deck of cards to life to communicate with you as the best course of action to take in any critical situation. Ultimately, Trust in Christ. The cards are merely a guide or pathway if implemented in a divine method invoking the Lord and Blessed Mother. They are indeed, the Ultimate Guides! God Bless to All.

A beautiful deck. Not super thick but not paper thin either, they are workable.

I absolutely love this deck. It was a perfect replacement to my last one, which I decided to gift to a friend. It is very beautiful. The artwork is very rich and lively and I had no problems with cards sliding or jumping. There is a humorous quality to some of the symbols on the cards and the detail is so great that I'm always finding new things every time I look through them. Any pictures of the cards do not do them enough justice.

The artwork is very lovely. The only thing that keeps it from having five stars instead of four is that it is not in a class by itself, as are for example, the Navigators of the Mystic Sea or the Baroque Bohemian Cats Tarot, each having a unique character in appearance and/or interpretive complexity. Medieval Scapini Tarot is basically yet another version of Waite as far as symbology. But it is a very high quality collectible worthy of both reading and enjoying as art.

Ya tenía algunos años deseando que esté mazo formara parte de mi colección y ahora lo es. El material es bueno, no digo que excelente porque tengo mazos con mejor calidad en cuanto al cartoncillo. En cuanto al tamaño es manejable y fácil de manipular a la hora de barajar. La simbología es bastante, hay que poner atención hasta los detalles más pequeños en las cartas, colorido y al haber tantos elementos presentes podría hacer que disperse mi atención, es cosa de acostumbrarme a él. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

I tarocchi sono perfetti, con alcuni dei disegni più interessanti e dettagliati mai visti per questo tipo di prodotto. Disagi però nella spedizione, pacco arrivato in ritardo, nessun numero di tracciabilità o possibilità per monitorare la spedizione. Però alla fine sono arrivati.
