Actually useable for sparring, ferritic stainless steel
The media could not be loaded. Quality rapier useable for sparringThreaded construction w 3/4 tang and threaded endFlexible and returns straightEdges and point blunt enough to be safeAfter lots of sparring no major burrs or edge damageShort video attached of myself and my brother, he is using an iaito. We did alot of sparring that day and in the first exchange with this set of weapons the rapier blade went between his legs and bent 90 degrees. Upon inspection it returned to true with no set bend. The sword is around 2.5 lbs and is easy to use. Feels good in the cut and the thrust, the ring guard is large and protective, and sturdy enough to take hits without deforming.I was very surprised at the performance of this rapier. I had planned to use it for technique drills only, and expected it to snap during sparring. Instead, it held up great. It is no hanwei or purpleheart rapier, and is clearly of lesser quality (cast plastic grip, threaded tang) but it is important to note that it is made of a ferritic stainless steel meaning it is spring tempered and hardened, but also rust resistant.10/10 would buy again

Decent for the price
If you use this sword the way you're supposed to and thrust with little force, it makes a great slow sparring practice sword for a partner who is new to fencing. It's not spring steel but it will bend a little bit on the thrust without permanently bending the blade. The balance is ok but the overall weight is heavier than an actual HEMA rapier. It would work for stage play and it looks pretty on the wall.

A decent rapier with some design issues
For the price, this rapier is a great wall hanger or costume piece that looks pretty nice. There are a few design issues that keep it from reaching five stars, but as long as you understand what you’re getting you’ll probably be just as happy as I am with it.On the positive side, the rapier looks great. The blade has a mirror finish and is very straight and evenly set into the hilt. The geometry is slender and seems accurate to a real rapier, albeit blunted and rounded at the point. The wire hilt has a few obvious weld points that look a tad rough, but this is barely noticeable unless you look for it. Unlike a lot of wall hangers, the steel seems to be of decent quality and the blade has a bit of flex to it, which was surprising. The blade also seems to be solidly fixed into the hilt, with no detectable looseness or creaking. I was able to swing it around at near full force and never felt anything off about it, and even accidentally struck a piece of furniture without noticeable harm to the blade (the furniture, fortunately, was also fine). The scabbard is a good, snug fit and nicely aligned. I wouldn’t swing this around or use it for sparring, but the sword is much sturdier than expected. Now to the negatives, which are few but notable. First, the hilt and wire guard are much larger than they need to be, somewhere between 25-50% larger than an actual rapier. The grip can almost accommodate both of my hands, which shouldn’t happen even with hands as small as mine. Additionally, the grip is even thicker than the quillion block, which is way too wide for any sword hilt, let alone a rapier. This and the blunted blade means the sword is overall heavier than it needs to be, so get your wrist ready if you plan on wielding it for stage combat or as cosplay because this thing will leave you sore just from holding it in extension. The scabbard, while nice looking, is made of incredibly light and cheap wood, which will no doubt crack and split from a moderate shock or crushing. If you’re planning on keeping this thing longer term you’ll want a way to protect the scabbard from damage, because it will take damage very easily.Overall, though, I’m very satisfied with this rapier. I’m using it for a Red Mage costume for Halloween this year and it really works with the ensemble. Just gotta be careful not to smack the scabbard into anything or that’ll be that.

Very happy with my purchase.
Very happy with my purchase. This sword is a costume piece (i.e., no sharp edge), but a very good costume piece, that looks exactly like the picture. It seems to be identical to the metal costume swords that we saw at the Ren Fest but costs half as much. Very good purchase. Note that it ships in a GIANT box so you might want to be home on delivery day to avoid having it sit on your porch all afternoon.

Wonderful addition to my costume box
Excellent quality for what's essentially a prop sword. Not so sharp that it worries me, but definitely hefty enough that you don't want anyone swinging it around unless they know what they're doing.Fencing buddy said it had unexpectedly decent balance, considering what it is. Hilt is very nice, sheath is solid wood and has a nice feel.I used it for a piratical costume and fully intend to re-use later as Zorro, Man in Black, Inigo Montoya, more pirates, and at every ren faire I go to from now until forever.

Good quality 👌
Excellent sword, especially for such a price point and very good service.

Its decent - but arrived damaged.
Feels good, nice build quality for a prop. Definitely dont be fencing with it, but for a ren faire or play, perfect.3 stars because it arrived with the tip of the scabbard missing.

Very good for a COSTUME sword
I was very satisfied with this sword, but you must be aware that this a completely blunt device. There is no real point on the end, and the edge of the blade is straight up square all the way down the blade. I bought it to complete a musketeer costume I'll be wearing to my local Ren Faire. For that purpose, it's superb. Although it's very cheaply made (at this price point, you shouldn't expect anything else), it looks great at a casual glance. Look at it with a critical eye and you'll see the handle is plastic and the welds are not the greatest...and of course the blade is rectangular all the way down. Who cares? It's a good deal for a costume, or maybe a theater production, or perhaps goofing around in the yard. That's it. Oh, by the way, kudos to the manufacturer for making the handguard symmetrical, which is fantastic for lefties like me!
