Lovely, natural and exfoliating body wash
I ordered the Botanic Hearth Bulgarian Lavender & Ylang Ylang Body Wash for myself and my husband to use in the shower. We both like lavender and ylang ylang, and were curious to see how these fragrances work together. The product arrived neatly packaged and in very good condition. The body wash comes in a nice large size of 16 fl oz which should last for several weeks. I love the fact that the product has many naturial ingredients and is sulphate and paraben free. The Bulgarian lavender has a lovely strong aroma which perhaps slightly overshadows the ylang ylang. The texture of the body wash is smooth and not too dense with small black exfoliating beads. It doesn't lather that much when applied to a sponge or cloth, but the product does leave your skin feeling smooth and hydrated for longer. The bottle disappeared from our downstairs bathroom and my husband admitted to wanting to try it out. He suggested that it is "really lovely" which is quite unique for him to openly give any feedback. One of the aspects of the product that I like the most is the long lasting fragrance. With most products, you wash and immediately it smells lovely in the moment but then it's gone. The scent and aromas from the Bulgarian lavender and ylang ylang body wash do linger and not in an overpowering way, just a constant reminder of a calming and relaxing experience. Overall, a great quality product priced competitively against similar products on the market.

Big bottle, not such a great fragrance
This is a large bottle for a body wash and probably £10.00 is more than I'd pay for something to get washed with. The pump action is a nice addition but probably quite necessary in such a large bottle. The colour is cute and it looks like it will be creamy in texture. Once opened, the smell lets it down. It's kind of old fashioned and a bit musty. I'd not ben keen to give this away or use myself. I prefer a fresher smell and something with more of a froth to the soap suds.

Light and silky; leaves my skin feeling soft and cared for, rather than stripped of its natural oils
This body wash has a delicate pearlescent creaminess with an opaque, silky texture and a soft lavender hue, which makes it feel inviting even before use. The fragrance is calming yet subtly uplifting, with a gentle blend of herbal and floral notes that feel natural and soothing, helping to ease away the stresses of the day. The pump mechanism works smoothly, with no sticking or fuss, making it easy to dispense just the right amount. The body wash itself feels light and silky during application, creating a soft, creamy lather that feels comforting on the skin. Unlike overly foamy alternatives, the lather has a luxurious density, offering quite pleasant cleansing experience. It rinses away easily, leaving no residue or unpleasant slippery or sticky sensation. I experienced no irritation while using it, and what I appreciate most is that it leaves my skin feeling soft and cared for, rather than stripped of its natural oils. In terms of cleansing, it is effective without feeling harsh—something my dry and sensitive skin does value. It also offers gentle exfoliation, helping to smooth and brighten the skin by removing dead skin cells without being abrasive. That said, daily use of even a mild exfoliating wash feels too much for my skin, so I find using this twice a week works perfectly to keep my skin smooth to the touch. From my experience, this body wash feels comfortable and gentle, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and nourished. That said, I always perform patch testing with any new product on a small area first, just to be sure of my skin's tolerance—it is a simple step worth taking.

Smells divine
Love the snell of this shower gel. Already finished one and a half bottles. Lathers up well also.

Lovely body wash - but prepare yourself for a big hit of lavender!
What first attracted me to this body wash was knowing that Botanic Hearth products are ethically sourced, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) certified, cruelty-free, and free from harsh chemicals and allergens. I'd not come across Bulgarian lavender before, but a quick google tells me that "the Bulgarian climate and soil yield a lavender flower that has a highly pronounced, assertive aroma and is rich in medicinal properties." Well, that would explain why this Bulgarian Lavender & Ylang Ylang Body Wash smells so strongly of lavender! I'm loving the smell, but can now see why it is suggested that you use a loofah in the shower, as the smell lingers on your hands, even after rinsing them well. This is good before bedtime as the aroma helps you drift off to sleep, but not so good before eating a sandwich for lunch! However, I would definitely recommend this body wash. The bottle is a good size, with a pump that works well, dispensing just the right amount. It's more of a lotion than a gel, and quickly produces a rich lather - which is often not the case with natural products. It certainly feels like it's moisturising my skin, and a little goes a long way, so not only easier to use but better value too.

Lavender and ylang ylang body wash/scrub.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the scent of this body wash/scrub. It was almost a little bit overpowering and just had a strange after smell. I usually love the scent of lavender as well. I did however like that this body wash also doubles as a scrub, so it did leave my skin feeling very very soft. I’m not sure if I’d use it again but overall, it’s okay.

Botanic Hearth Bulgarian Lavender & Ylang Ylang Body Wash
This is a good sized bottle of body wash that looks pretty and works well as a body wash, however, please do note that the instructions on the bottle state to "use only as directed" and it says you must use with a loofah. I used both with and without, to see what the difference was. With - it foamed well and only a few drops last a good long while. Without - not unexpectedly it didn't lather much, although it did still have a fair coverage and at least without the loofah you could feel a little of the (what I'm assuming are) exfoliating beads. Having said that - I'm not sure whether they ARE supposed to be for exfoliation, because there isn't a lot of them. My main issue with this was that, although I do in theory like the scent of lavender, this was overpoweringly so.
