great read
Love this series. Well written and funny. Well developed characters and a plot. It’s really quite funny and you just never know what is next.

Adventurous main character had me smiling!
Fun read! Breezy story involving intense yet lightly dealt with crime situations- in the midst of typical upper middle class family life.

Another great read
I am hooked on this series now. It has it all ....humor, suspense, romance, and more. Shelby is reminding me of the TV show called the Mentalist and it was one of my favorites.I can't wait to get the next one!

Very interesting!
Well, that was wonderful. Very well written and fast paced! It will be very interesting to see what develops as her consulting business gets off the ground.

entertaining
I’m enjoying this nonsensical series. They are farfetched, but predictable. Looking forward to reading more. A little repetitive at times.

A breath of fresh air!
Finally! A book that’s about a smart funny emotionally mature Mom with a truly lovely relationship with a smart emotion ally mature husband! It’s funny and entertaining, and I love how the author was able to show us the working dynamics and rewards in keeping your partner as your first priority even when it might be easier to take another action or keep quiet. I’m looking forward to continuing the series. Brava!

I want to like it, but the husband is the WORST.
This is the 2nd book in the series and for the most part, so far, the series is well-written, fast-paced, and seems to be decently edited. The problem I have is with character development. Because there is none. Shelby and her husband Chris have a toxic relationship where he constantly belittles her and her accomplishments because her new job upsets his status quo. He gets upset she can read his mind and constantly thinks horrible things about her that she can manage to shrug off, and worst, all of their ‘arguments’ are solved by physical passion. They don’t have healthy communication. He’s a neanderthal in a suit. I don’t know if I’ll be able to continue reading if something doesn’t change in their dynamic, because if I came across a post describing someone of his character in the AITA reddit, I’d be telling Shelby she deserves so much better and to leave.

Lots of action
I liked the action. It was immediate and had me interested right away. I also like the relationship between the husband and wife.

Epic!!! The whole 14 books should be a TV series
What can I say? I devoured everyone one of these 14 books in the series in less than 2 weeks. I couldn't put them down. The writing is so good you are engrossed in the story from start to finish. I love all the characters and the way their relationships develop constantly over each novel. The unique POV of a mindreader allows an omniscient presentation from the first person perspective allowing an immersive experience from every character's POV. Not only are the novels thrilling, they have you on the edge of your seat as Shelby always puts her life at risk. The sense of peril while expected is always unpredictable. Every book has two or three storylines running through the adventures, so there is never any boredom reading a Colleen/ Shelby novel. For many book series you find by the tenth you get the same formula - NEVER the case with Helme. Every single book has been completely different, fresh and because the characters keep evolving the storylines could never be the same. But while I've read the series and I'm waiting on the next, Colleen Helme doesn't let her readers suffer - she has a Shelby blog that keeps the reader involved in Shelby's life - THANK GOD! - because I feel I know Shelby as a person! So thank you Colleen Helme - you are the real deal! the Whole package! You have a fan for life!

Another great story!
Colleen has done it again -- Fast money picks up where Carrots left off (even though 'Carrots' had a complete story to it), and it pulled me into every twist and turn and mess that Shelby gets herself into with her recently found talent. I'm addicted now, so have downloaded the sequel "Lie or Die", wondering what she could possibly come up with next!

As good if not better than the first
I brought this after reading a copy of carrots and I was not disappointed. I love how the characters continue to bloom and the author here makes you feel the connection to all of them from uncle joey to chris even get into the mind of mercer. I love how the tale unwinds keeping the pages turning just to find out what is going to happen next. I loved it read in less than a day.. I would definitely recommend to read especially if you are looking for something to take with you on summer vacation.. :) Looking forward to reading the next shelby adventure.

great read
Another brilliant Shelby Nichols story. I love Shelby she is so much more than I expected and she grows with each story, even her hubby Chris showed more depth in this book, he came off more protective at times instead of just putting Shelby down but he still has a way to go in my mind.Shelby is coming into her own and learning how to use her new gift to help and I am excited to read more.

A diverting read
Light, amusing writing in this mindreading / fantasy / detective story. It's a diverting story and the characters are cute enough to keep my attention. Not high class literature by any means but I still enjoyed it. You need to read 'Carrots' first, the first one in the series.
