A life changer!
Okay, well, maybe that's a bit much, that it's a life changer, but, seriously, when you have to do deposits frequently, and people often decide to pay with a pile high stack of one dollar bills or whatever, it can get pretty frustrating, doing it by hand. So, I took a chance on this one, despite it being much lower in price than other ones -- which kind of breaks the rule of "you get what you pay for" because, in this case, it leaves me wondering why other companies charge so much? This works GREAT! I bought the "Deluxe" version, because I liked that it had a front facing display, and, considering it is only twenty dollars more than the basic model, it seemed worth it. Once up to paying a hundred bucks, another twenty isn't a deal breaker. There's not much to say in terms of "reviewing" a range of features or whatever, because it just brilliantly does what it does -- feed it a stack of bills, and it will tell you how many bills you have! So, it's much easier to match the receipt to the bills, because you don't have to hand count the bills anymore, and of course, for the overall deposit, it's a breeze to know how many of each denomination you have.As others have said, no, it does not "add up" the currency values for you, and doesn't read different denominations, but those are features that cost at least three or four times more, at minimum, and in fact mostly run well over a thousand bucks for a machine like that, so we're really happy at this price point and all we really need are the bills counted. We already have software that does the rest anyway, so this takes care of what was once the most time consuming part of the job. What really floored me was the speed! It's faster than the one used at the bank! It was so fast it actually startled me, haha, the first time I ran a stack of bills through it. I didn't expect it to fly through the counting so fast! The machine is solid, heavy, well built, yet doesn't take up a lot of space. Even came with a replacement belt and a cleaning brush. All in all, I am extremely impressed and very happy with this purchase. If you have money counting needs, this will most certainly make your life a whole lot easier!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Works great!
I have the deluxe model which includes IR testing. Overall it's a great time saver.PROS:o) fast and sturdyo) accurate (but I still count twice to be sure)o) capable of batch counting (spits out N bills at a time up to 100)o) can accumulate counts (Add mode)o) UV and MG detection can be turned off if neededo) comes with some replacement parts and a cleaning brusho) hopper tightness is adjustable if needed (may loosen over time)CONS:o) runs as soon as bills are place in the hopper (some may think this a PRO)o) requires some practice putting bills in because it starts running on its owno) doesn't detect denominationso) provides count only -- no denomination settingo) no way to test if UV/MG/IR detection is workingo) handles only about 50 bills at a time

excellent product, very fast and efficient in detecting counterfeit ...
excellent product, very fast and efficient in detecting counterfeit bills, the only thing that would be missing is the sum of the bills (account only the amount regardless of the denomination) but I imagine at that speed ... and so anything that gave 4 stars and not 5 is that it is not dual voltage, 110 volts only is not 100-240 volts

Very nice, counts money very fast !!!
Received the product Monday and ran it through the paces. Counts money very fast. I had a another unit that was 10 y/o which finally gave out due to worn parts. This unit is great !!! I purchased the Deluxe version of the G-Star and paid the extra 11+/- dollars for it, for the digital display on the front which is nice. In my tests I ran some bundles of $20 bills I received from the bank. In one bundle it stopped on one specific bill. I thought it was a fluke so I randomly placed the bill back in the bundle and ran the bundle again and sure enough the same bill came back as an error. Did not have time to read what the error was in the manual. Maybe is was fake or something so will have to try it again. Good unit, Good buy for the price break.

Surprisingly accurate and easy to use
I was amazed at how well this thing works. It counts the NUMBER of bills, and does not read denomination. So if you pass a stack of 20's, just multiply by the number counted and you have the total. Counting results are repeatable - you can pass the same stack through several times and get the same count every time. A great time saver.

Great cash counter
Great cash counter. I use it daily an it works good...some jams here and there, but it does what I need it to do. I separate the denominations just to count totals...super easy. Not sure if the counter fit mechanism works since it hasn't flagged any bills. The machine seems well made and the last stack bill count is great. I've counted over 7 figures since we've had it and it still works great. All good! Buy it.

Smaller than I thought, it DOES count tickets or other dollar size items
I like that this counter can count stacks of thick tickets as well as money. We use it to count our carnival tickets that are 5 1/4" x 2" and pretty thick. No, it does not separate bills or detect denominations. So it does not keep a running dollar amount. It literally counts the number of items in the stack. So you still have to separate your denominations and do the math at the end. It is a little loud so it isn't something that you would want counting in your office where people were on the phone, but it seems small and compact and very useful.
