Griddle cleaner
This kit really works! It's amazing. I'm still buying cases of cleaner.

easily removed 16 years of carbon buildup
Viking sells this kit for 175 dollars. I found it here on Amazon for 100 dollars less. I thought that was still a lot but I think it's worth it... we are selling our house and I would like the new owners to have a "like new" range with griddle. What my griddle looked like before (with 16 years of buildup) and after treatments (I used 4 packets and another for tougher spot treatment). For the spot treatments, I emptied the chemical packet into a ceramic bowl and used an eye dropper, a piece of the scrub pad that I cut off and some heat resistant silicone tongs. Rinsed off the remaining chemical with a soggy paper towel. It looks amazing - "like new"!!! It's ready for the new owner's to season it themselves. In all, it took me about just over an hour, with *very little* scrubbing. The product did most of the work.I used water paper towels under the drain to catch the gunk. The tools washed up easily with warm soap and water. The Con:When the solution hit the 350-degree griddle, it produced a lot of dense vapor, which set off my photoelectric smoke detector, despite having all the windows and door open on a breezy day. Next time (in 16 years?! if I can remember!) I will set up a couple of fans on high lol.

Works as advertised and very quickly!
Worked as advertised on a Viking counter top griddle that had 13 years of carbon buildup. When we moved in 10 years ago, we thought that the surface was anodized black. One cleanup after pancakes last week, a dime-sized "hole" appeared revealing a shiny metal finish. Thus followed 4 hours of repeating high heat and scraping with a wide putty knife which removed 90% of the hardened build-up. Purchased this product and used 2 cleaner packs to obtain 99.9% shiny surface in less than 15 minutes. So yes, this is a better, easier and much faster solution. Next step is to use a stone cleaner brick to obtain a smooth finish and final discoloration removal.

It works good
This an easy way to clean the griddle but in the end the person cleaning it needs to understand how to do it. Or it will turn into a waste of money.

Cleaned stubborn stains off my griddle
Learning to clean the built-in griddle on my Wolf range has been an evolution for me. After some initial attempts, I had gotten to the point where I was able to get the residue off pretty easily and scrape things down to what was a decently clean surface, but it took some time and some serious elbow grease, and I was still left with some very uneven looking stained areas. I know that seasoning on a griddle is not a bad thing. But we had dinner out at a hibachi place, and when I saw how easily they cleaned their cooking surface and how spotlessly clean it was, I was motivated to try to get mine that clean once again.Needless to say, the price of this kit made me a little nervous, but it did have so many good reviews. And now I will add my good results to the list. After a meal, I did a light cleaning to remove that meal's residue while the surface will still hot. Then later, I warmed the griddle up again to the 300 that was suggested on the instructions. My husband and I were amazed at how clean it was after one pass, and then I did one more cleaning of the toughest area, and it came clean also. I don't think I'll do this every time we use the griddle, but it is great to know that it is in fact possible to get the griddle back to a pristine state.I recommend having an older towel or two on hand, to moisten and wipe down the surface when you are done. The whole process, even with a second application for the tough spot, only took maybe 10 minutes, but you probably want to do this when you won't mind having those dirty, wet, hot towels to deal with. For in between uses of this kind of cleaning, I recommend a good sturdy stainless steel scraper, with water on the griddle while still fairly hot, and also a pass with a damp towel, folded several times so that you can manage it on the warm surface.

Good product, works well
Removed grime from a 12 year bake on the griddle section of a Viking gas top range. Will be perfect for routine cleaning. See before and after photos. Marks on after photo are factory. The long handled tools keep you away from danger making the "pro" set worth the extra money.

Works very well pay attention to the temp.
This product works better than I thought it would looking at the reviews. What I suggest before using is purchasing a true grill temp gauge that sets directly on to the flat top. When it get to 275 deg pour the cleaner on and start working it around with the scrubber pretty swiftly then squeegee it off don’t let the grill exceed 350 . Wipe off the grill with clean towel and cold water be careful of the steam . If the gunk you cleared from the grill cools it will be very sticky almost like rubber it cleans up with warm water and soap. Temp control is key .
