Great for multiple applications!
I initially purchased this filter to install in a 3D printed Solder Fume extractor. It work perfectly for that, as that is its primary purpose. But, I also have it installed on my 3D printing enclosure exhaust to help clean the air when I'm printing with fume-heavy plastics. It works perfectly for that too. It's a good, solid carbon filter that can be used for a lot of filtering jobs.

I think the filter is working.
Built my own solder fume sucker using a 120mm fan, a 3D printed duct, and these filters. Seems to work well. My workshop smells much less like rosin after I solder.

Works as expected.
I don't see any smoke coming out of the other side of my homemade solder extractor, so they must be doing their job.

Significantly Reduced Resin Smell from 3D Printer
Using this in my Anycubic Photon printer to alleviate the resin smell. Has done an excellent job so far.

Kind Of Works For Solder Smoke.
Heads up to anybody hoping to just use 1 of the six for removing solder smoke. Using just one doesn't work. It cut the smoke to about half. So two might work. However, if you want to be sure that no smoke will make it through, hold it up to a light. With how I see light (just pointing it up at my ceiling light from the ground).1, you can see light through it.2, lights harder to see.3, almost right.4, almost can't see any light.5, I can't see my ceiling fan light through it anymore. You could add in the 6th one to protect more from solder smoke. So in other words, if you are looking for a bargain with getting 6 filters (which sounds great), think again. You are more or less just paying $12 for one filter. If you are ok with that, then go for it!
