Brilliant idea! Saved me a ton of time switching drill bits.Only used on a plastic "project box" but had me wishing I'd come across these step-bits years ago. A revelation to me and a big thumbs up.One "downside" is that the thing you are drilling needs to be deeper than the hole size you need, if you get me. If you want the fattest hole you need to insert the full length of the bit. That may contact the innards of the thing you are drilling, unless it's a simple flat panel. No free lunch I suppose, but that will be true of any brand of step bit. Just something to be mindful of.The hex "neck" holds really firmly in my typical Bosch electric drill - wasn't sure if the "3 pincer jaw" would hold the bit ok but works perfectly - no slippage can happen.Only used on 3mm plastic so can't vouch for other materials but I love these and the amount of time and fiddling about they saved me.

They are ok but are advertised with a bag that didn't come and the packaging was all ripped up when it arrived. Had really wanted the case to go with it like all the other brands have advertised.

My husband does a lot of woodworking and makes extra money when not working making furniture for people. He needed something that would help different sized holes for inserting furniture feet, latches, bolts and so on. These are a set of 3 different sized step drill bits that are titanium coated. Each step up on each bit are labeled with the measurement so you know what size you are using. They fit well in any drill and have a tip to easily start any hole.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Great for opening holes up to a bigger size. I use them regularly and they appear to be lasting well at present...

I was pleased with these as I wanted to open up holes quite accurately without the snatch of a normal drill bit. They worked well in plastic, perspex material.
