Keds created an American Classic: the first shoe with a soft rubber sole and coined the term "sneaker." This original sneaker, called "the Champion" has remained a style icon for over ninety years.

Comfortable and waterproof
I bought these walking boots initially for the cotswolds way that we will be walking in August. I went for comfort rather than water proofing as over the years I have had many different types makes and models of boots and they have all let in a certain amount of water. I have just been on my first walk in them it was 6 miles of bog, mud and water, my feet were completely dry when I took them off at home so have to say THEY ARE WATER PROOF despite some of the reviews I have read.I am a size 7 foot but had to send the first ones back as slightly too small. I then ordered a 7.5 which is a perfect fit plenty of room. Delivery was prompt and on schedule. So when ordering I would suggest getting a size bigger. The boot itself is lightweight compared to some other brand. But when on appear to be strong, sturdy and provides foot and ankles with good support and structure. Very comfortable.Update 11/05/25Have owned these boot for last two years during it's time I have walked the cotswolds way and hadrians wall walk. These boots are so comfortable I have not had a single blister And they are still going strong planning to do the ridgeway in august. The boots have only let in water 3 times and this was when walking in rain that has lasted 3 to 6 hours at a time, the bonus of them being light weight is that they dry off really quickly and are ready to use the next day. Best buy yet for walking boot.

Good boots at a very good price..
Just received my Moab 3’s & I’m happy with the whole transaction - including the boots! This is my 3rd pair of the Merrell Moab mid GTX boot so I’m aware of the criticisms regarding these.I bought these for the dryer weather - as much as we get in Scotland, anyway - so I’m well aware of any waterproof issues. I’ve other boots for wet weather. The reason I buy this model is for the comfort & stability on multi day walks - West Highland Way, Coast to Coast, Corfu Trail etc. I’ve never had a blister whilst wearing these.I don’t expect to get much more than 18 months out of them tbh & any more will be a bonus, although my last pair lasted 3 years before the sole unit started detaching from the upper. To be fair, this problem is common for most ‘fabric’ type boots - even those costing much more. This pair came via Amazon from the USA in timely fashion for £70odd but I had a voucher so a brand new pair cost just over £40 which I think is a great deal. Just remember with these boots to go up at least half a size.

Comfortable robust walking boots
Hesitated for a long time before purchasing these boots, I have been walking for years in a pair of old timberland boots, that fit like a glove and were completely waterproof but were very heavy particularly if climbing. As I was due to go on a walking trip to Dartmoor I bit the bullet and bought these.I have not been disappointed, I am 7 days in to a 2 weeks and they fit perfectly, are so comfortable and light and have been marched through boggy moorland, streams and lots of mud and I have not had any wet feet.I wish I had bought them sooner. Fantastic pair of boots.

Love these boots
Lovely boots for walking , took a while to break in , around 20 miles . Nice and comfy now. If you are planning to do lots of walking on the high fells and mountains I’d recommend you go for something that has higher ankle support . But for lowlands and everyday walking these are perfect. The waterproofing seems to be a bit hit and miss , I’d give it 7 out of 10 for waterproof ness . Overall 9 out of 10 for the boot .

Definitely NOT GoreTEX
The Mrs & I bought a pair of these each as we are keen walkers which is a must with Border Collies. When we bought these they were great so comfortable but after a long dry spell we went for a walk on a damp day just a little drizzle sol wore these rather than our Hunters which a very comfortable for an hour or so. After just 20 minutes walking through the damp grass the Mrs said her socks are soaked... Sure enough mine started to get wet too. We have bought many many walking boots over the years always had GoreTex and never a problem even on the worse weather days. All we can say is that these clearly are NOT GoreTex or even water resistant. We wont be buying boots online again unless its from Blacks or other reputable retailer. In total we have wasted over £230 on these fakes. It too late to get our money back too.

A good walking shoe supportive and comfortable.
I like the comfort and support but not too heavy. I wear orthotics and the shoe was big enough for a 40 to wear my orthotics with them . I know from previously having this make that they are very durable. They are not water proof this is a summer style.
