Bosch 060084A171 Advanced Hedge Cut, 36 V, 540 mm blade length, 20 mm tooth opening (1 Battery pack), Green

This thing is absolutely brilliant. It is powerful, cuts through thick branches on my big privet hedge, and does a really tidy job all round. It is very light, at least compared to the 15 yr old thing I had before, it feels like a feather. The battery lasts for ages. I charged it once and I’ve cut the big hedge 3 times over, plus trimmed several bushes and it is still going. Best bit of garden equipment I’ve ever had. No wire is the best bit too, as no worry of cutting through one now. Going to get a battery powered lawnmower next. Unlike me, make sure you spray the whole of the cutting part. I forgot to do I before the first cut and you just end out with dirty/marked blades which you can’t get the marks off. I’ve sprayed WD40 on it before each use since then and it hasn’t got any more marks on it.

After about 15 years of use, my trusty Bosch mains electric hedge trimmer, with a 70cm blade, suddenly died mid trimming. Despite some reservations, particularly about the shorter blade lengths available, I decided to embrace "cordless". Here is my comparison;-Pros: Much lighter and less cumbersome without the wretched cable of electric. Cuts really well and doesn't jam. Shorter blade length isn't an issue.Cons: Can't manage such thick stems as my old electric model as the cutter gap is relatively small.Overall, a very good buy and I am really pleased with this trimmer. I already have two 4.0 amp hr batteries from my Bosch lawn mower, so use these rather than the suggested 2.0 amp hour ones. I run out of charge long before the batteries do! So I think the 2.0s would be absolutely fine. The slower stroke rate of the trimmer takes a few minutes to get used to, but it works! Recommended.

I bought this to replace my old well worked 18v battery powered Boch hedgecutter. The old one was smaller yet managed the large hedge shown (usually with a battery change half way) This is much more powerful but just as light and I especially love the saw at the end. The hedge shown has about 4 different types of hedge along it and this fits the job well with battery still going at the end! Boch battery powered tools are great and have a good name and I am equally impressed with this. A good buy.

This is a great hedge trimmer. It has plenty of torque without screaming it's head off like an electric alternative. The battery life is outstanding; I have a large garden and it handles it with ease a couple of times between charges. Charging is super quick; less than an hour for a full charge, incredible battery technology. My only complaint is that I would like a weight added to the nose of the blade as it's just a little lightweight which makes it a bit too flyaway when trying to trim some parts of the hedge.

The trimmer is light and easy to manoeuvre around. The cut is clean and it doesn't jam.I use it with the 4.0Ah batteries I use for my lawn mower and strimmer, they work perfectly. In fact they're probably unnecessary for this machine as it seems to use very little of their capacity cutting my hedge. Of course if you have a great deal of work to do the larger battery would be good, or indeed if you already have them as I do.I highly recommend it.

No cable. Decent battery life. Relatively light weight. A very good precise cut. What is there not to like? However, my privet hedge doesn't offer any serious challenges to a hedge cutter so I don't know how it would perform on a hedge of a different type.

I've always had petrol garden tools believing them to be far superior. The 36v range of Bosch garden tools are great. I have the mower and this hedge trimmer and love them both. This trimmer trimmed 50m of half height privet hedge and 25m of 8" tall conifers and the battery still had two of the three bars left!!This is easily as good as a petrol trimmer but lighter and without the hassle of mixing fuel.

I bought this as I already have the batteries for the lawnmower. It is very good at cutting, though not quite as good as my mains electric one. The blades are well designed and it can cut quite large branches.This is an excellent trimmer for low hedges, but once you try and lift it at and above shoulder hight the weight of the battery becomes very limiting!

Tenía el hermano menor de 18 V, con el que estaba encantada, así que al ver que había una versión el doble de potente, no dudé un minuto. Los dos son una maravilla, así que la compra depende de la extensión de los setos.En resumen, poco peso, potente y muy fácil de usar.

Muy ligera y fácil de usar.Se ha oxidado algo el espadín.Me ha resultado extraño que una máquina de este precio le suceda, pero tras preguntar a jardineros me han comentado que en pequeñas proporciones debe ser normal.De momento muy contento con la compra, veremos con el tiempo qué pasa ..

Bosch design quality. Ergonomic. Lightweight.36V lithium battery powers it up beautifully.Dislike: The challenge is to keep the metal bits rust free.
