Drake Waterfowl Gore-Tex Jones Hat - Hunting Waterproof Breathable 2" Brim Hat with Fold-Down Ear Flaps

Great old-style Jones hat. I don't know why people quit making them but, I've always loved them. Drake's gore-tex version is awesome. Fits as it should. Is durable and well made, like you'd expect from Drake.

It fit great. I wear a 7 3/8 hat and the m/l is a nice fit. It fit looser than a ball cap would but not to loose. Simmons outdoors is good to deal with. Free koozie came in the box also.

Very cute on my boyfriend. Didn’t think I would like it but he seems to pull it off. Seems to be made pretty good. Other then our dog whiskey who got a hold of it and did chew a little hole in it.

Had a hard time to find this hat for my husband, he has worn this style hat for years but they are hard to find. He loves it.

I bought this in hopes it would be more comfortable than my bucket hat when I had my hood up. Definitely nails the old school look. However, the hat is so deep I had to tuck my ears inside the cap which I don’t find comfortable. The ear flap is just a thin piece of fabric so not sure how effective it would be at keeping ears warm.I am returning it as I don’t love it enough to replace my boonie hat.

Fits and is waterproof. A thicker liner would have been nice. Maybe I can wear something else in under it.

The m/l should fit me perfectly, and it does for the most part. However, if you’re like me and have one of those heads on the low end of the medium scale, there’s something you should be aware of.While the stretch elastic fits “around my head”, this hat is deep. So in order for it to sit fully on my head, with my head at the top of the hat, the hat rim either sits behind my ears or over them.The logical fix would be to order one size smaller but apparently this does not exist, at least in the Drake lineup. My fix was to first try washing the hat in hot water and drying it on high. This did not change the fit at all. Then I put it in a pot of boiling water and dried it again. This seems to have finally shrunk it somewhat so that it fits better.I will say, the hat took both treatments extremely well, so I have to presume this is a very well made garment. No fraying, no change in shape, etc.I gave it 4 stars because of the fit and the fact Drake should not assume every Hunter has a giant head.

I expected more from Drake. Delivered all smashed in an envelope. Ear flaps are thin and not worth much. Wouldn’t purchase again.
