Absolutely brilliant, so simple
Rarely do I leave a 5 star review but I couldn't fault this. I spent almost 2 hours messing about with an old style waste, PTFE tape, plumbers putty and it still leaked.Found a review for this product on another site and ordered it. It took less than 5 minutes to install, really simple just line it up, use the allen key to tighten and attach the trap, no messing about with other products, wish I'd known about it sooner, would have saved a LOT of time and hassle.

Brilliant piece of kit!
I ordered this yesterday; it arrived this morning, and I set about replacing the 5 year-old metal pop-up plug in a wash-hand basin. The whole evolution took me 45 minutes - of which 40 were spent struggling to dismantle the existing system. Once that had been done, the Vado kit was simplicity itself to drop in, mate with its bottom bit, tighten up - and Hey Presto! Works beautifully - and fingers crossed it lasts considerably longer than its predecessor.

Ideal
This proved ideal for me becauase access was difficult below the basin. This does not use a large backnut which would have been impossible for me. Instead, it utilises a central screw to clamp the top and botton half together. Then screw in the clicker mechansim, screw on the top and that's it. Quick and easy.

Poor quality
Main body is plastic, not metal. The original was plastic but Vado did bring out a metal after fit. Unfortunately this version is plastic and so liable to break in use (as the original did!)

Easy fit
Started to use these as replacements for the normal pop up waste as they seem to be better quality . Far easier to fit as well and also like the fact they can be used with or without an overflow basin.

Plastic not chrome
Bit annoyed really just received these and they are not finished in chromeThe lower half is actually plastic which is misleading as the ones pictured are the chrome ones

As a tradesman I need a clicker waste that is reliable and easy to fit. This one is both of those.
The Vado basin waste is a complely different design to many of the other 'clicker waste's on the market.It is also easier to fit and has a more positive action. As a plumber, I'm trying to use this type of waste on all my basins now. Vado have inavertantly reinvented the wheel!
