Works well great for winterizing.. my local store was out of this product.

I just replastered my pool with mini-pebbles and have been dialing in the chemical levels and am using this product plus some CYA conditioner to get the CYA level within tolerance. So far, pH and chorine levels are holding nicely and the water looks perfect. This is a good price for shock. BTW, a few years back I was having problems maintaining chlorine levels due to excessive CYA levels. The remedy was to totally ditch the chorine pucks and use liquid chlorine. After that switch, the water remains perfect, I don't have to run the filter more than 3-4 hours per day even with the water at 90 degrees and the filter needs cleaning far less often. I buy the 4 pack of liquid chlorine from a pool store which is 12.5% chlorine and fresh, vs. the packaged 2 packs from the big box stores which can be somewhat dated and only 10% chlorine. I'm never going back to the pucks.

There is not a better pool shock on the Market! I'm not a chemist, so I can't go into detail on why this shock works so well. But I can tell you from my experience with 33 years of owning a pool. I have not found anything that works as good as this Clorox extra blue pool shock does. 1 packet a week in my 16000 gallon pool and my water is crystal clear! No algae problems at all! Doesn't sting your eyes and you can be swimming again in less then 20 minutes. You can't go wrong with any of Clorox extra blue products!

this shock/clorinator works great, good value- i just went to re-order, the price has gone up $10 in 10 months [20%] wtf?
