It works, not too warm for my use
Current set up is a MB Air M4 and UGreen TB4 dock for regular productivity work. Since I heard so many bad things about 10gbe adapters, I made sure it worked directly connected to the MB first. Mostly full speeds on openspeedtest, minus overhead, 8 to 9.5 gb depending on the time. To my pleasant surprise, it worked connected through the dock as well, at pretty much the same speeds. I didn't see any reviews on connecting through a dock and getting full speeds, so I wasn't sure. I had not heard of this brand until shopping for adapters, but after looking into it a bit, they seem to be reasonably reputable. These 10gb ethernet adapters tend to get hot due to the inherent inefficiencies going through copper at speed, but for normal work, it's not an issue at all. Normal productivity work is mostly regular speeds limited by my 2gb internet and other devices' hardware, with occasional bursts within the network to and from a 10gb NAS to move large files. With this "normal" use case, the adapter stays a little warm, but not hot at all. I would guess that the people criticizing the heat move a lot of large files regularly. In mine and most "normal" use cases, full speed tops out at a minute or so. If power-using, it probably makes more sense to use an SFP+ connection as I originally wanted to do. However, the price of this compared to an SFP adapter made me rethink if I really needed fiber for my use case. I'm happy with my decision and would think copper makes more sense for most people needing occasional 10gbe speeds.

gets pretty warm- but not a hazard and works great
Gets pretty warm, so make sure its not squashed between things and has proper clearance. Devices like this can get in the low 100°Fs and its considered normal. I mounted a small aluminum heatsink on mine, probably unnecessary since the design includes small fins already- but I was stacking it and used the larger heatsink as a spacer as well to keep the devices touching metal to metal and building more heat. It's silent and fanless. Cheapest 10Gbe dongle on the market. comes with a high quality high speed USB-C cable. Only lights on the port and they aren't super bright so no worries about additional light. Works and functions as it should. Provides full 10Gbe connectivity. Did multiple speed tests with iperf3 and BlackMagic Speed test. Confirmed its a solid device for 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of competition.

It keeps disconnecting
I bought this to copy large data over the network faster. It works at full speed of 10Gbps, but gets hot pretty quickly when I start copying data, then it keeps disconnecting. I had to unplug and plug it back in. It is basically unusable for me. Also, it does not work when I plug it into USB 3.2 ports. It only works with USB 4.0 ports on my desktop.

Runs great but at what cost?
I bought two of these for two MacBook pros (M1 and M2). Once hooked up they seem to work just great. On a 5GB fiber line they deliver 5200 Mbps (5GB+) to the Mac's port. So I have nothing to complain about there. But: 1. As others noted it runs hot (will not burn you hot) and is uncomfortable if you handle it too long. 2. Because it runs hot I was concerned about the wattage this device pulls. You do not want to overburden your power supply/battery unit. So I searched high and low and there does not seem to be disclosure by the manufacturer for the wattage, nor amps. Someone correct me if you found it. Having said (and if it really is not disclosed) that how did the manufacturer get this unit into the country? 3. Plug and play setup. It works but you may need to reboot a time or two. Once it connects the first time it connects each time the Mac restarts. Be sure to watch for the dialog that your Mac will present to verify you wish to give it access to your computer. I you miss that you may find yourself rebooting a few times to get it back. I have to give it a 3 because of the wattage disclousre and the setup. But rule out these factors and based on performance then definitely a 5. Also I worry the heat might case the unit to fail prematurely.

10GBs for the right price!
10GB adapter was priced right to start with, it was plug and play with my Macbook no drivers needed and was able to see 10GB speeds when running iPerf3 tests. Under windows a quick driver install and it was up and running properly. I've had this plugged into one of the thunderbolt ports in my monitor and plug the laptop into the monitor via thunderbolt cable and it continues to work perfectly, I've had the adapter for about a month now without any issues at all. Rock solid 10GB adapter! Came with a thunderbolt cable, the body is an aluminum shell with the end caps being a hard white plastic. Build quality is okay, and the device gets warm in use ~116f.

Works great with Mac mini
Hooked up to Mac mini and data transfers as promised. Unit does run a little hot.

Works like a charm, FULL 10Gb speeds!
Works great, 1100MB/sec to my trueNAS now over a ~45 foot cat-7 cable - both ways - when tested with iperf3 and 8 threads. This is also running alongside my soundcard on the same asus pcie firewire 4 card with no issues. Now I dont have to waste an additional 8 pci-e lanes running an sfp+ addon card to get 10Gb speeds anymore. If your pc / network is modern enough you shouldn't have any problems (at least not on win 11).

Gets too hot, disconnects and freezes
Unfortunately, it consistently disconnects and/or freezes, despite being in a well-ventilated place (since it gets hot). More than likely, the manufacturer should design a case with better heat dissipation or include a silent fan ... as it is, the device consistently freezes, requiring unplugging, waiting 2-3 minutes, and plugging it back in. Not acceptable for an ethernet adapter's use case.

Works perfectly and is much cheaper than the alternatives currently. Make sure to install the drivers if you are on windows. A must have if you have a 10gbe port NAS and want the fastest wired connection to it.
