Best pumice, best price!
I only order General Pumice, it is the best price for the best quality. Unlike some others this is not extremely soft, doesn’t require extra screening, isn’t half dust at the bottom of the bag like others. I mix 50% 3/8” pumice to soil for succulents. Size is consistent. You won’t regret it if you get it.

I already know it will be GOOD STUFF!!!
I havnt even received my order yet but these are the only people I will buy from since about 5x's ago when I ordered from them! The 1st time ordering there was a big misunderstanding and unfortunately I was having a VERY BAD DAY and kinda snapped on them, but the lady was just as sweet as could be and was SO NICE 2 me to where I had no choice but to start having a better day!!! Then, when I received the pumice, it was/is the BEST pumice I've personally come across! (And I've come across A lot from many different places) Very clean, very uniform & the sizes you order are actually the real sizes u will order!!! Even the littelist size was perfect for me to do my seedlings in!. I don't know of anyone else on Amazon that will make pumice this small. This time I needed the 3/8th which is my "regular" size and it's perfect for my cacti! As with ANY pumice tho, be sure to rinse it off 1st, as it's always gonna be dusty but that's gonna be for every place you get it from tho). Now, if these folks would just start selling some decent green zeolite, my cacti would be in heaven!!! I wish I could do a pic for all yall but I haven't even received this order yet and I'm COMPLEATLY OUT, ur just gonna have to trust me. :-D I don't just give Anyone 5 stars!!! :-) Thank you, General Pumice, I appreciate y'all!!!

Perfect Perlite Replacement
The size of these stones are a great replacement for perlite and also a great size to mix in for a DIY pon mix. Will definitely buy more!

Works good in seed starting mix
I am happy I purchased this for my seed starting mix. I will say, it was shipped USPS so shipping was very slow, if you live in an area where USPS takes forever to deliver, keep that in mind. My seed starting was delayed over 5 days because of USPS having issues with redelivering. The product itself is great, I just know to order in advance next time to avoid losing anytime for my seed starting!

Good stuff but the description is misleading
This pumice from General Pumice Products is excellent for my purpose (potting mix). The size is uniform and accurately described by the seller, and although a tiny portion of the particles are some other mineral (quartz, I think), this is common with pumice and doesn't hurt the plants. It could have been cleaner. I washed it and strained it. I didn't mind doing this but you might. If that was the whole story I'd give this product five stars, but the seller shipped less than promised. At the time I bought this, the description was, "3 Gallon Bag Garden Pumice (1/8" Stone) - 12lbs."I received 2. 6 gallons not 3 gallons. The seller is probably doing this with all their US customers because they shipped the product in a USPS flat rate box that only holds 2.36 gallons. They managed to squeeze in a little more than 2.36 gallons by bulging out the cardboard sides of the box, but they would have had to turn the box into a balloon to cram the promised 3 gallons into it.Usually if a seller ships less than they promise, I give them 1 star because I think it's fraud and and it's unacceptable. But in this case I think the seller might just be confused. Inside the shipping box, the material was packaged in a heat-sealed bag labeled "3 gallons", and it's quite possible the seller buys this stuff in the bags from somebody else and assumes it's really 3 gallons and never measured it.Also, the seller promised 12 pounds but sent 12.9 pounds. In other words, I got less by volume but more by weight than they promised. You might think weight vs volume sort of balance out so there's no real problem. But the weight of pumice doesn't tell you very much about the amount of pumice because pumice absorbs water so easily -- pumice is a sponge made out of rock -- and the weight goes up and down with the water content. In contrast, volume remains the same regardless of water content. So volume (gallons) is much more meaningful than weight. The pumice wasn't obviously wet when it arrived but it was grayer (less white) than this particular pumice gets when it dries completely.Like I said, if the seller had described this accurately (2.6 gallons of pumice) I would have given it 5 stars.

How Can I Be Meaningful About Stones?
I'm not sure what to say? I don't know what the hardships involved in finding, cleaning, sorting and packaging pumice are but it seems fine. I'm new with needing to work with this stuff but it seems to be working out. Its texture is consistent, heavy enough as not to float to the top of my pots. Seems to balance out nicely with my soil so to open it up enough for good drainage for my succulents and cactus plants. So yeah, it's good, I'm pleased. Try it you should be pleased as well!

Fair price and good quality
Packaging: 8/10No issues, comes in a solid plastic bag and cardboard box.Quality: 9/10Without taking a caliper to every single one, it seems that the granules are consistently the right size with no obvious outliers. A little chalky residue/powder stays on the stones, which is to be expected due to movement during shipping, so I would recommend just a quick rinse before using. Mixed some in with Perfect Plants Succulent Soil Mix and is working great for my succulents, especially as it stays put during watering - no more perlite floating around every which way.Price: 8/10This is a fair price after shipping.Overall: 8.5/10This product is exactly what I expected and I have no complaints. I bought a bag of rocks, I got a bag of rocks.

Bonsai perspective
For my bonsai trees, I use 1/3 lava 1/3 pumice and 1/3 akadama. This is the pumice I use and I think is of good quality. It is dusty and has some quarts in the mix, but it’s alright. Just make sure to get the 3/16 size as the 1/8 is too small and 1/4 is too big.
