IT WORKS FOR ME !!
my unit is mounted directly on the air handler, and it has 2 tubes, one in the middle of the "A" evaporator coil and the other downstream of it where the drain pan is located. the unit is from ultraovation. com and they sell a full line of all types of a/c units. mine has a replaceable quarter sized battery and when u change the tubes, u take it out and put and put in a new battery, and when u do this, it resets the unit to "sound a Chirp" when the tubes need to be changed. it maybe a pain to listen to, but its time! otherwise, u will just on living and not know it. it cost me about 300 for the unit and 300 to have it installed yrs ago. I also have a Honeywell Air Cleaner, it works great, its 20x24, cost about 300 and 300 to install it, it needs to be cleaned by someone every 6 months, and we don't smoke or have any pets, and its loaded with what looks like mud when you rinse the 2 grids(cells) off with water. its amazing how much it gets! this unit makes a chirping sound too, it sounds like morse code, SOS !!! over and over until u do something about it. im going to contract it out for service, im getting too old to go up there, and the a/c man has a special pressure washer for cleaning the coil upstairs and outside without taking it all apart! GET A GOOD A/C MAN! have him make sure ur unit is fully charged, if it not, it can cost u a fortune!! insulation is cheap too!! have it blow in !! my bill went down 33% ! my average bill is $120 in tampa, florida and I keep the house at 70 degrees all year round !! Ah! its so nice to come home and open that door !! feel that !! Ahh!!

UV Lamp that fits just fine
I figure that I saved a couple of hundred bucks by purchasing this lamp and installing it myself. It was too easy, just turn the power off, quarter turn to the left, pull the old lamp off, put the new lamp in the socket, quarter turn to the right, power back on and your system works again.I was concerned when I read "Made in Poland." on the lamp. Not at that I have anything against stuff made in other parts of the world, I just wondered if I was going to have a quality and/or fit issue. Turns out the original lamp was made in Poland too!Buy it, use it and buy it again when it wears out. It's a great product at a great price.

Good replacement to Honeywell OEM
Replacement for my Honeywell germacide lamp in my HVAC system. These are slightly longer than the OEM (16” vs 15.75”), which I actually like. Phillips doesn’t include useful life hours beyond manufacturer recommended change annually (9,000hrs). Why pay for 25,000hrs life when changing as UV bulbs lose potency over time (after about a year)..Easy to change - pull out old, push in new, making sure it is seated tightly. It’s a great value compared to OEM which costs $75+. I ordered 8 more to have two year supply on-hand.I took a star away because one bulb arrived with glass or something inside (as it made noise when shaken gently). It lit, but makes me wonder what occurred. They do need to pack these better, particularly when ordering more than one bulb.

Fits the GermAway Lamp
Fits the GermAway 36W but it is just a little taller. The GermAway comes with a foam piece that you can slide down to stabilize it.

That meant that it was not molded with the key slots in the base that makes it easy to slide into the Honeywell fitting
I have only used the bulb for one full month and it performs well, so I will have to see how long it lasts before I can make a true evaluation. One thing that did present a problem for me was in the information details about the bulb on your website, it failed to mention that it was not an exact duplicate of the original Honeywell that came with my heating/air conditioning system. That meant that it was not molded with the key slots in the base that makes it easy to slide into the Honeywell fitting. Because there are two raised 'keys' on the base, I had to take a knife and cut them out so the Philips would fit down all the way over the prongs. It would have been better if in the description of it,they could have mentioned that it did not have the 'key' slots molded into the base. I just trimmed them off rather than go through the trouble of mailing it back and all the hassle of a return bulb that could have wound up being broken in transit back and loosing my original purchasing price plus shipping costs. Otherwise, it seems to being operating as well as the original. hac
