Bough ta 2.5 years ago; mower, charger and drill machine Battery started draing very fast after very first year; it wont last long enough to complete my yard which is not big at all If i have to cut at level 3 it will be enogh for back yard or front yard; else for back i have to charge three times; and again the battery is not possible to charge immediately as it will be hot inside that it will show red indicator; i have to wait; literally takes whole day to complete my yard with this proces; and battery is expensive to replace. If the grass is wet that make life even more worst mowing with this waste thing. Cannot pick grass and send to bag if its little long enough; i have to loft and let it thow outside. The drill is okay for small thing but not very powerful enough for stone rock or little hard surface I wouldn’t recommend anybodyto buy this lqwn mower; its waste of money and time and effort using this product

The batteries are the Achilles Heel of this product. When I bought the mower last October, I liked it. Decent power, adjustable deck height, relatively quiet, and CLEAN! No gas fumes making me dizzy. Even then, I could only count on about 35-40 minutes of run time per charge. That was okay though. We're on 1/4 of an acre. I'd mow the front yard one day, and the backyard the next. But now, not even at the end of the first season, the batteries have already gone bad. As you can see from my pictures, they are discharging at different rates even though I charge and use them identically. This was their wattage immediately after they went "dead" in the mower. I timed my last mow (with batteries that were allowed to charge all night). 17 MINUTES. So now my batteries will go back on the charger and hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to finish the 3rd straight day of trying to mow my (less than an 1/8 acre) backyard. I'm not interested in spending $100+ on new batteries that may have the same exact defects as the ones I already have. I'm probably going back to gas. I'll give the electric lawnmowers 5 or 6 years to advance technically, and maybe I'll try again. I do have a battery powered Ego weed eater that I love. Battery life doesn't matter as much to me on that. So I'm not anti-electric. I like electric. It's just not quite there for the lawnmowers. Edit: I contacted Greenworks and, to their credit, they sent me a new battery. But I think this one is even worse than the faulty battery I was replacing. It'll only charge up to a max of 24V whereas even my original bad battery will charge to 24.5V. And it dies just as quickly. There's definitely some screwy inconsistencies with these batteries. I'll probably end up trying a 3rd party option. Could they be any worse than the official ones? Edit: it's a year later, and I'm lowering my review from 2 stars to 1 star. The battery performance continues to deteriorate. The replacement battery is now just as bad as the one it replaced. And I'm lucky to get 10 minutes of use. I'm only grateful that I paid less than $200, during a sale. This is an absolutely ripoff at its current price of $566.

I really want to give this mower a 5 star rating. It is light weight, easy to use, and cuts well. Though the best I can give the battery life is 3 stars. It will almost certainly require 2 different mowing sessions to finish your medium to moderate sized lawn. It is something that I am getting used to but am wavering on purchasing another set of batteries or the extra large set. The trouble is those batteries are nearly half the price of the machine itself. A small lawn will be one cut but anything more will likely require a recharge between mowing. That all said I am very happy with my purchase and it it is a well functioning machine. Easy enough for even a child to use for those looking for a (very) easy start and push.

I always wanted to try out an electric mower, but I was always worried about battery life. This 48v Brushless Greenworks did not disappoint. I used it on just under 0.3 acre lot of St. Augustine grass. I was able to complete my whole yard in about 50 minutes and still had some battery left. I used the #3 setting on the height and mulching, and it cut well without any issues. Charging the batteries back up with the included dual charger was around 2 hours. It looks like the led lights comes on when it's dark, so that's cool. It was definitely a lot quieter than my previous Honda, and just as strong. Now I don't smell like gasoline after mowing the lawn. I will probably replace my old black and decker trimmer and blower with some greenworks 24v later. Oh, I didn't try the free drill yet, but that's a bonus. As of the first mow, I recommend it. I'll update this later after the season is done. I'm hoping it'll be a good experience.

I was anxious about changing from a gas-powered mower to an electric, but this one hasn't disappointed me at all. The two-battery power system cuts my 1/4 acre yard without running out of power. The bagger works well and helps me keep leaves and small branches off of my lawn. The best thing about this mower is not having to buy, transport, and store gasoline. I'm sold!
