Love our new teakettle. Nothing bad to say about it.
We needed a new teakettle but could not go out shopping so tried buying on line. The negative reviews of the various brands and options had us concerned. We use the kettle every day for our tea. In the past we have found that the screws on the handle often loosen making the kettle unstable so were looking for a different construction. WE opted for this model because it looked sturdy and the handle construction was different. We have now been using it for about one month and love it. We have not had any trouble with the handle being hot, the whistle is loud enough to hear all over the house and it is easy to serve. Please note that it is a little heavy but you can't have it all, right?

Great alternative to a $400 Simplex kettle or $200 Williams Sonoma Simplex knock-off - Gas only!
We recently got a new gas stove with a 22,000 BTU burner that can boil 2 cups of water in a big saucepan in under 2 minutes. Unfortunately our old kettle wasn't big enough to take advantage of the full flame (4-5 minutes for same amount of water), so we started looking at the fastest boiling kettle available for gas stoves. Simplex seems to be the gold standard, with the finned-aluminum bottom but the cost is $400-500. Williams Sonoma makes a Simplex knock-off for $200 which started looking good, then I discovered the TurboPot kettle for $65 and decided to give it a try. To be fair, we just got it, so I can't speak to how well it will hold up, but construction seems very solid and overall it seems very well made. The aluminum fins on the bottom really do seem to speed up the boil, with my 2-cup test coming in at 1 minute 45 seconds on the power burner, so I'm happy. I hope it holds up with the new silicon handle design (other reviews mention the hard plastic handle being a weak point). Also, the silicon handle and knob on the lids stay cool enough to handle without a hotpad which is nice. Overall it's a fantastic kettle if you have a gas stove.

Beautiful and Musical
I've been using this for a month now after my last tea kettle literally fell apart. My last kettle lasted about two years with no problem (except the horrible screech instead of a pleasant whistle) on electric ranges. But, after we moved into a new home with a gas stove, I discovered that the handle was attached to the kettle with plastic parts. The heat necessitated the use of a pot holder to pick up the kettle and, after a month, the heat made the plastic so brittle that the handle fell off entirely. So, I went looking for a better made kettle that can withstand the heat of a gas range. This tea kettle is beautiful in appearance. While the handle can get warm, I've never had to use a pot holder to pick it up. The whistle is a pleasant sound rather than a jarring screech. I cannot say that it heats more quickly than any other kettle I used because I've never timed how long it takes to get my first cup of coffee in the morning. But, I do know that it retains heat so well that the second cup is ready less than a minute after I turn the gas back on. This is the sort of kettle I would purchase as a gift for those with gas stoves.

Great tea kettle
Beautiful tea kettle for our french press coffee every morning. High end stainless that doesn't seem to blotch or show water marks (3 weeks in anyway). I have a 12,000 BTU burner, and get a strong boil in about 6 minutes. I was concerned about other comments concerning the "hot handle" when it's advertised otherwise. It can get warm, but I have not been unable to pick it up by the handle each time it's used. It may depend on how you place it on your burner - it seems as though the handle can get warmer if the heat is coming up off the back side. I'd recommend placing it on the burner so that the handle (back side where it comes off the kettle) hangs off the burner just slightly. Especially if you have gas, and the flame tends to "lick" up around the kettle. Just my 2 cents. I highly recommend!

This Kettle is Perfect!
Fantastic kettle; this kettle is perfect. It really does heat water much faster than any other kettle I've used, 30-40% faster. It does not dribble when you pour, it does not leak, and the handle does not get hot. Several reviews talk about it being heavy, and yes it is heavier than an inexpensive aluminum one, but it is only slightly heavier than any good sturdy kettle of the same capacity. It actually feels balanced so that it is easy to pour when full, and weight is not an issue. It is not too heavy and because it is fast, dribbleless, and has a handle that stays cool, it is the best kettle I have ever used. I love it and would definitely buy it again. It is worth the few extra bucks.

Lid rusts quickly. Dry thoroughly after use.
The teapot is capacious and well balanced. It heats quickly and pours with no splashing and a minimum of steam blowback on the holding hand. The lid on the kettle is cheap pressed steel and needs to be wiped dry after each use to prevent corrosion and bonding to the container.

Practical and stylish
This kettle replaced one of those high-end brands with beige enamel exterior, that cost nearly three times as much. The first high-end one corroded on the inside within a few months; the replacement they sent developed weird brown splotches all over the exterior. So we got this turbo kettle, the same we've been using for a while at our other house. We LOVE IT. The design and function is perfectly thought out. Whistle is loud, pours without splatter, handle doesn't need a potholder, and it's stylin' too!

Great kettle if you get one from a good batch
I purchased one of these for my wife a couple years ago and she uses it every day (sometimes twice). It has a good capacity and heats up really fast on our propane gas stove. She liked it so well that our mothers both wanted one too. We ordered them and gave them as Christmas gifts. The handle snapped off one of them in February, less than 2 months after they received it. I'm not sure if it was damaged in shipping or if it was a bad batch due to complications from the pandemic. Either way, it's not a great result. When I tried to contact them to get a replacement, they told me I needed to buy another pot or kettle to offset shipping costs. Needless to say, that's not what I wanted to hear. I would have given 5 stars if they had all been like the one that we have, but the broken pot and poor customer service dropped it to a 2 star.
