Output power unacceptably low.
Received the radio very quickly. Set up the radio with a good (low swr on all 3 bands) antenna. Receiver worked nicely. However, the output on 220 and uhf was in the 2 watt region no matter the power setting using a dummy load, vhf was over 20 watts. The enclosed programming cable was unusable on win11. So much for 'free'. Old drivers might have helped.I ended up returning this radio as 220Mhz sees very little use here for me.

THIS LITTLE RADIO IS A BEAST!
I purchased this radio to use as a mobile radio for amateur radio and to listen to local Highway Patrol. The speaker is powerful and allows you to easily hear radio traffic. There is a little fan on it that engages at times and you can hear it slightly but it doesn’t disrupt anything about this radio. If you are searching for an inexpensive little radio to put in your car or side by side you won’t go wrong with this one. Be sure to purchase a 12 v DC adapter plug to keep you from having to hardwire it to your vehicle.

NOT new ham friendly
I have had this radio for a little over a week. I would not recommend this radio to a new user. The instructions and the QYT software both are not user friendly. They both while they give instructions on how to execute functions. All functions are acronyms no explanation of the functions. To complicate the matter the driver for the programming cable is not Win11. the Chirp software included some instructions for downloading an older driver. In the driver "downgrade" instructions there is an expiation that the latest driver is made to not support older chips due to counterfeits. The downgraded driver which worked once was replaced with the "upgraded driver" on my next reboot.

4 bands all 20watt or more.
Nice little radio for 2,220 and 440. I use the 4 band for my priority freq. Very good tx audio and loud spkr for output. Easy to program on Chirp and QYT software also. Only downfall is no external speaker output on the radio. Runs a little warm but seems no impact on unit. Have many people who are happy with this little unit. Very flexible.

Really impressed. Great bang for the buck
I added this to my kids' buggy that the use to ride to the bus stop in the AM. I added a timer to the accessory power so the radio stays powered up for 10 minutes after they shut the buggy down. That way if they're waiting at the stop and I need to call them for anything, they can still hear me. The speaker on this unit is unbelievably loud.

Went bad right away
This product went bad within a couple weeks. People on the receiving end could not hear me - even though it was working fine the day before. There is no Mic Gain feature - which means I am unable to adjust the gain of the microphone....like most radios have. It just has an option to turn the TXN power from HIGH or LOW. That's it. I've used other 25W mobile radios before, but none that go bad this quickly. Unfortunate.
