Fan is great. Love the white base with the walnut. The walnut is a bit of a red walnut. Not the dark walnut I was imagining.but it works in our bedroom. Only reason I gave it one star less. My ups man was embarrassed for the way the shipment came. He told me when he loaded it in the morning he didn’t think I’d except it. Box was completely dismantled. Next time try putting some swap around it or something... I checked the item and no damage so we installed it.

The three-blade fan looks great, is super quiet, and was perfect for my outdoor covered deck.

Perfectly silent!

I purchased this fan 2 years ago and ended up buying two more after that. The way this fan looks, and performs is unparalleled especially for the hugger style fans (no rod from the ceiling) . It moves an amazing amount of air and it is whisper quiet. I love that it also has the integrated decora-style wall control. That way, it is nice and neat-looking in the house and integrates right into the wall switches (Just remember to buy a matching wall plate.) On the other hand, the remote control (separate from the wall control) is the ugliest looking remote imaginable. How a beautiful looking fan like this is paired with this remote, I have no idea. I personally have not even taken it out of the box. I installed all 3 of the fans by myself. If you have installed a fan before, I would not hesitate to do it as a DIY. If not, be prepared to spend 4-8 hours by the time you overcome the learning curve, and also to overcome the vague installation instructions that come with this product. They should be so much better. However, they are great on the phone if you ever have an issue.In the two years between my first fan and my second, I went the cheaper route and bought a 48" Kichler Volos Fan at half price. While it had similar specifications on paper for air flow, it was simply not the same. On the Kichler fan, the blades were plastic, the noise level was higher, and something about the blade pitch made it so that you felt the air only standing directly under the fan. It did not distribute the air the way this Matthews Fan does.Of course there is no getting around the fact that this fan is expensive. If you are reading the review, at a minimum you are trying to decide whether it is worth the money. It is worth the money. If the factors above are important to you and you are able to afford it, I would highly recommend. It also has a lifetime warranty.

This is a nice product and recommend for any one who wants to pay for less noisy fans with elegance
