1979 Book of Common Prayer Vivella Edition: Green

GREW UP WITH THIS BOOK , MY OLD COMMON BOOK OF PRAY MUST BE 60 YEARS, ALWAYS A GREAT READ. T.R

Had this for a few months now, love the pocket size with a ribbon. I personally love the green/gold combination, and the fact that it’s single column. Very good pocket size Book of Common Prayer, I refer to it often.

I appreciate the sturdy binding, and elegant cover. The pages are the perfect weight for usability and frequent use. I enjoy the lectionary and prayers. It fits easily in my hands while having a font large enough to read. The value was excellent.

Comfortable to hold in hand; soft, leathery, bendable cover. Nice small size—slips into bag easily. If font size were larger it would be perfect for me.

I purchased the green book as I’m a sucker for different colored covers and all the BCP’s I’d seen were either black or red. That said, I’m glad I judged this book by its cover and purchased it because it’s been a wonderful little companion. It’s compact enough to easily fit in my purse and the vivella cover is strangely comforting to hold. The cover is also quite flexible and will mostly lay flat. I take mine along to church and have no problem reading along. I think the font is 8 or 9 point. The pages are very thin like Bible paper and some of mine are lightly stuck together at the corners, likely from the binding process. They come unstuck with no hassle when I turn the pages. All in all, this was exactly what I was looking for.
