Amazing AFO!
I had a stroke 10 years ago that left me with foot drop and some other issues. Since then, I've worn an AFO on my right foot At that time, it cost $600. It was carbon fiber, and its velco straps wrapped around my ankle and high cafe, near my knee. Recently, it broke and I couldn't get insurance to pay for another. By the way, the cost of the replacement had risen to $1,200. So I tried a number of the flimsy plastic ones, about $35 each. They were a waste of time. I bought the Neofoo,t and I am so glad I did. Its smaller size is great. It fits inside my shoe without a problem. The support is as good as the more expensive kind.

Do No Recommend
This is my second time purchasing this product. It has snapped both times in the same place. I cannot find a contact number. I do not recommend this product.

Not as stable as my other AFO
I tried this AFO because I’ve been wearing the Smart Step for years, so i thought I’d try something else. It is not as sturdy and just helps a little for my drop foot.I wish it was more sturdy because it’s more comfortable in my shoe than my Smart Step AFO.

It could be great
I was so excited to try this and so disappointed when I tried to walk with it on.Pros: The low profile of the rear ankle hinge would allow more options for footwear. lower height on the calf than most. Nice neoprene padding on on the back of calf.Cons: Everything else about it. The sole plate is very flimsy which is comfortable but offers no support. The hinge is so weak that it has no affect on drop foot. It does not hold your foot at 90degree angle. The straps are elastic Velcro and stretch when you put any weight against the top strap so there is a lot of movement when you step. The ankle strap does not actually stick to the AFO which would have been such an easy design addition. The instruction manual is not explanatory on how to attach the strapsI really wanted to love this. On paper it looks great, in reality it would be dangerous for anyone with a real need for a strong AFO. I took about 3 steps then took it off and put it back in the box to return.I will stick with my Insightful Step Up at twice the price and twice the safety.

No way this is ever going to fit in my shoes
I've been searching for a drop foot brace that is both effective and comfortable. I'm afraid this isn't it. This thing is big and solid and seems pretty high quality, but it's just not for me.I have wide feet and a high instep and low arches. Sometimes, it seems like my feet are just blocks of concrete attached to my legs. I'm lucky to get my feet and socks into even wide shoes. There's no way I could get this brace into any of my shoes, even those where you can remove the built in insole.I thought I might be able to come up with a way to wear it without shoes, which is how I am most of the time anyway, but I just can't.There's also a weird angle to the thing that I can't quite figure out. Almost like it expects your calf to be concave, which mine most certainly isn't.I guess I'll keep looking for that perfect brace some more.
