When I first opened the bag, I thought the smell was a little off. Didn't get a big hit of beet smell. However, when i mixed it into a smoothie the flavor came through. In fact, I hedged my bet and put extra in in because the smell was not very strong. My mistake and corrected on the second and third smoothie. Beetroot is a proven powerhouse food. I haven't and probably won't use it on my face as the bag suggests.

Really great for natural food coloring to make pink icing. It smells nice, has a good color and is even nutritious! What more could a scrunchy mom ask for? I might use the rest to add into smoothies, taste is quite alright so I think it will be a good addition to a berry smoothie.
