I mean...it fixed a broken pellet grill soooo...
It was cheap, it was a quick delivery. Isn't that what we're all after if we're looking at this to fix the pellet cookers? Worked like a champ in my Camp Chef DLX 24. Up and running the next day. Obviously the ease of install is more dependent on how your smoker is assembled. But it's pretty much plug and play in most units.

GOOD REPLACEMENT WHEN OEM IS BACK LOGGED
Definitely NOT easy to install but thatโs Camp Chefโs design flaw for their smoker. Value to cost is great and would buy again. Its a two person job unless you have a jack and jackstand.

Successfully Replaced in a Camp Chef 24 DLX
Recently acquired a Camp Chef 24 DLX from a neighbor who said they couldn't get their smoker to work, and said I could have it since they were moving. Started to troubleshoot and discovered the hot rod wasn't getting hot. After digging around on Amazon and reading the reviews of a few products, I figured lets give this a shot. It's only $13.99 anyway. Unplugged the original Camp Chef hot rod from the controller, and had a difficult time getting the original screw that holds the hot rod to the burn/fire cup in place to unseize. Once I removed the original hot rod, I slid the Stanbroil hot rod through the "sleeve" and into the fire/burn cup and used a new screw to hold it in place (and connected to the controller board). Had the original screw not seized, the entire job would have taken under 10 minutes.Since then, I ran a test run using the new hot rod and it worked flawlessly. Subsequently smoked some ribs afterwards, and they came out great. I'd recommend.

EASY to INSTALL
I replaced the hot rod this morning. Took an hour because I forgot a few things and had to back up. 1/2 hour next time. There are two screws that hold the honey comb safety grate on and I placed a piece of tape over them on the back side of hopper. If you don't, there is no way to get the nut on without pushing the screw out and having it fall on the floor. I filled the hopper and fired off the smoke and BINGO ! Thanks for the help everyone

Easy way to renew a $1k grill!
Dead simple. Works like OEM. With this, the auger motor and the fan, you can rebuild a Camp Chef WW for $60!

Works Great, Installs Easily
When my 2 year old Camp Chef pellet smoker stopped working the Sunday before Thanksgiving, I did some quick research and ordered this replacement igniter. With the help of a YouTube video, installation was very simple and straightforward, taking me only about 20 minutes (working by myself, on my back, while holding up my cell phone as a flashlight!) I'm sure it sould take less time during daylight hours. The igniter has worked flawlessly since then, and in case you're wondering, the smoked turkey was delicious!
