Sorry for the bad picture quality, and for my boyfriend's thousand yard stare. He just looks like that.I was hopeful about this rug based on Safavieh's reputation, and somehow it still exceeded my expectations. It arrived very quickly, and rolled up (not folded as I've heard happens sometimes). I rolled it out last night and with the exception of the last couple inches along the edge, it immediately lays flat. Mild "new rug" smell but nothing too strong or chemical. It's very soft, thick, and plush. I admit I didn't actually measure the room before ordering the 6'7"x9 (because who has time for that kind of basic and commonsense pre-planning), so this thing was way bigger than I pictured, but I'm not bothered at all. If you, unlike me, are not an impulsive rug-buyer and actually do your homework (or have a basic ability to imagine scales of objects) then it won't be a surprise to you.The thing I was most worried about was the look of it--I doubted that one of these plush "faux oriental" rugs with faux distressing/antiquing was really a suitable alternative to the real thing. But it is! You really don't notice that it's not a "real" oriental rug until you're on top of it, and by that point the softness has won you over enough that you don't care. And the pattern is lovely! Looks just like the picture in my estimation, no brighter or duller.No comment on durability yet, so I'll update if it starts falling apart, but I agree with other reviewers that it certainly feels high quality. I feel sort of silly for ever thinking that a 50% off rug from World Market was ever a good deal. THIS is a deal.

Love this rug. We wanted something that was an elegant look for an affordable price. We’ve owned Safavieh in the past. This rug looks great as well — much higher quality than the price would suggest. And it was one of the few red rugs that didn’t suggest Dalmatians in a blender, patriotic or Christmas. lol

Super soft rug. Thicker than most. A real good value.

Pros:• Great value for the cost of the rug.• Beautiful red color throughout. Fit the vibe I wanted and matched my dark wood cabinets. I liked that the colors were so vibrant.Cons:• Colors aren’t actually the colors. Ex: Up close, the “tan” areas are actually vomit colored threads next to other colors, like an unpleasant green thread next to a pink thread next to a white thread, but if you step back and look at it from a distance, the area looks tan. I tried not to look too closely at it haha bc I didn’t like that.• Design looks stretched - I thought I was getting a rug with two symmetrical stars and a square in the middle, but when it arrived, I realized the design was off. It looks like some person somewhere took a design that was originally correct, decided they wanted it to fit a different-sized rug, and then literally just stretched the file to make it wider for a 4x6 rug. The stars and square are printed in these weird dimensions (aka it isn’t just a camera angle or incorrect file upload in the listing… the rug actually looks as wide as the preview image)I’m returning this because the symmetry bothers me, but if that and the thread colors don’t bother you, then this is a great rug for the price!

This adorable Persian rug has added a ton of coziness to our apartment. I absolutely love it! The color is gorgeous, and it’s incredibly soft.

This is a beautiful carpet it's soft and plush. Unfortunately it seems to photograph darker/deeper in colour than it actually is. I took a photo to show this and my picture also came out darker. I have uploaded an image where i tweaked the colour to try and show how bright it is. It is actually even brighter than my photo shows.I returned the carpet as it was too vibrant. Well made, just a pity about the colours being inaccurate in photographs.
