Beautiful and easy to play
This LS6 is the perfect size for my hands and style of playing. I tried a Yamaha FSX830C which is basically the same concert body size but this LS6 has a longer scale (neck 9/16" longer) and wider nut (44mm) so it is much easier for me to get my fingers on the frets and to finger pick. It isn't a huge difference but it really changes the playability for the better. The sound from the LS6 (rosewood laminate) is really bright and has a nice sustain. Everything looks well built and even the action didn't come too high. I'll probably get it adjusted after a few months but it is definitely within normal range. I'm super pleased and love the look of the guitar as well! Awesome value from Yamaha guitars and the aged spruce top gives it great a sound. Love it!

One of the best purchases I've ever made.
This guitar blew me away as soon as I opened the box. First, the product images do not faithfully represent just how beautiful this guitar is. It came with Brand New Elixir Strings, Not sure if 80/20 or Phosphor bronze, but after tuning the sound was just insanely beautiful. The intonation and sustain are out of this world for this price. The neck feels smooth and easy to play. The action is not as low as I'd like, but it's low enough to play without much effort. I have had several other guitars, and they do not reach this level of quality for this price range... if you want a beautiful sounding guitar, with a beautiful finish (I'm a sucker for Sunbursts) at a price that you just cannot beat... stop looking, this is it.

Very impressed!
As a 35+year guitarist, professional musician and collector, i must say, i'm very impressed and well pleased! I've always loved the concert body style, its scale and overall mid range tonality and this yamaha ls6 is no exception to that standard. It meets and even exceeds my expectations, especially at this price point! Upon receiving the package, i was admittedly concerned. It was shipped in a single layer/standard guitar box and inside, the guitar was fully wrapped in single layer of foam wrap! Well, to my pleasant surprise, there were no scratches, dings, knicks, gouges, glue or blemishes whatsoever on this guitar and i'm very meticulous! Imo, Amazon would do well to put these inside of another box, for better protection in shipping. Also, do yourself a favor and get the yamaha hardshell case to protect it! Below is the link to the case pictured. Ls6 fits like a glove! Could not be happier for the price.
At the Amazon price, this is an amazing guitar. Their quality is ALWAYS spot on. The banding and MOP are a nice touch on a guitar in this price range. Tone is well rounded. Warm but not boomy or muddy. Highs are clean but not ultra bright. Action right out of the box is pretty nice. I like lighter strings and a pretty low/fast action and I 'might' tweak it a little when I swap strings, but honestly, it's so good I might just leave it alone. The bridge pins are plastic, as you'd expect. I might upgrade to ebony or bone, mostly for cosmetics. I doubt that they will make much tonal difference. Bridge and nut 'seem' to be plastic but I'll have to check the specs. Will swap those out for bone if they are. Finish is a little heavy, as was the norm in the past. Seems the trend is toward lighter finishes, but I prefer the traditional gloss finish. Just personal preference. Overall just a really nice quality guitar. it's no $2000 Martin, but I'd wager that only a few people could tell the difference without seeing it. Overall just great solid Yamaha quality.

You'll need to EQ it
I like everything about this guitar except the Electric part. It sounds extremely tinny and harsh so you'll have to EQ it quite a bit. It has near perfect intonation. Fret work is smooth. Action is perfect, and if you're wondering, no, the LL6 doesn't come with a case.

Wonderful sub $600 guitar
Great guitar for the price. The finish was great, action was spot on and no setup was required. The only think I would wish for is a strap pin at the base of the neck.
