Great Value
It will get installed this fall, not in this 90+ degree midwest heatwave. Item looks good and Youtube videos make it easy to install. Installed and works well. Do not expect hot air but moderately warm air that gently raises the temp over a reasonable time. Highly recommend.

Most convenient RV heater
Cons: does not blow hot air.Pros: great supplemental heat.Easy install if you have the correct wiring.Doesn't take up floor space.Heats entire trailer though ceiling vent system. On AC breaker. This heat strip has been the best electric heater I have bought for our live in trailer. We have left it on basically all fall and winter (about 6 months so far) and haven't had any problems with it. It blows warm air because it is not especially powerful but this has saved us probably hundreds of dollars on propane. You might think you don't want to buy this because it doesn't blow hot air (that's what I thought) but if you do buy this you will be surprised by how much of a difference it makes over time (what I found out). Also, it keeps the temperature in the trailer from fluctuating from hot to cold, as running only propane will do. Another thing, I don't have to worry about tripping a breaker because I ran the coffee pot on the same circuit as a different plug in heater. This is also great because we have it hooked to a central air conditioner that has vents throughout the trailer so it can heat more than one room, unlike other electric heaters. As you can tell I really like this product. We live in a area with normal temperatures between 30-50 degrees F but have had as low as 0 degrees F and this has really helped, although we did go though more propane at lower temperatures as you might expect. As an added bonus if you accidentally freeze over your AC this is mounted right near the fins that freeze, and although you should be cautious with thawing water around electricity this can help defrost your AC as well.

This IS a real heater
I don't know if all the reviewers are in Alaska or what, but this is no weak heater. It was 33 degrees Fahrenheit last night here in Texas, and we woke up in the morning uncomfortably warm with our indoor thermometer reading 80 degrees. It's been in the low 40's outside the last few days and the heater has been turned way down to where it kicks on probably 20-30% of the time, which has kept it in the high 70's. Our RV is a 1988 23' model so it's not exactly super well insulated, either. It takes it probably 20 minutes for the element to warm all the way up. Maybe other reviewers tried it for 5 minutes and then wrote their reviews, or maybe they're expecting a single electric heater to be sufficient on its own for sub-zero temperatures, I don't know.

Easy Install
This heating unit was purchased, since my a/c was heat ready with no extra parts to buy other than the heat strip/element.Easy install, my time was 30 minutes. I wasn't in a hurry so it could be done faster. It is a plug and play heater, in my application. Keep in mind it depends on what was originally included when your a/c unit was installed. You may need more parts than I did.Only thing I didn't care about on this model is the heating unit is held in with one screw/clamp. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere. We will check the set screw at the end of summer.Works great to keep the chill off if it is a bit cool on certain nights. It is basically the power of a 1600 watt space heater, that you won't trip over in the night. It will not replace your main furnace when it is real cold out.I recommend this product if it is something you need.

Perfect Fit for My Coleman Mach 3-Plus
Installation was easy and straightforward. Having the replacement knob that shows the heat setting is a plus. This is NOT a substitute for for a furnace or strong electric heater. It provides warm air that will help to take the chill off and given enough time, will warm the camper. For us, it works perfectly and we're very pleased!

Works awesome
I was skeptical buying this , but I’m glad I did . Takes the chill off the room in our 5th wheel and kept the wife from freezing . Not furnace heat but nice gradual heat . Saves on propane that’s for sure . I love the fact it keeps the room warm without it being breathtaking dry heat like the furnace produces

Great chill chaser for camper
This heat strip has done an excellent job of keeping our camper nice and warm during chilly days/nights while camping. Its not a heater but will increase the ambient inside temp by about 8-10 degrees which is perfect for 50-60 degree nights. Very easy to install with basic hand tools and mechanical knowledge. There's really only one way it can be installed so its close to idiot proof. Highly suggest for anyone with a camper that has the Coleman Mach air conditioner.

Just to take chill off and install drawings and instruction not complete
The heat strip assembly was fairly easy to install, once you figure out what you are supposed to do. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. And the drawings are barely readable and lack sufficient detail to fully understand what you are supposed to do. You have to remove the outer cover and then the next layer… the instructions never mention the second cover. After you get all that off, the install is pretty easy. It goes upright into the intake on the forward side of the AC assembly. The AC assembly has a decal that shows where to install the heat strip (much more helpful than the instructions). After that it is just putting everything back together, which is not hard. The strip puts out heat quickly. But it will not warm up the whole van in freezing outside temps. It is good to take the chill off. Ours is right over the bed and it is good to warm up before you get out of the covers.
