Fairly easy to install, but I needed the extension piece and it was missing. Used original part.Other than that, the whole mechanism works better than ever.

Directions are terrible and difficult to read. However, if you took the original apart, you should be able to figure out the proper replacement procedure. If not at first try, keep trying..... I'm fairly handy, but it took me a few tries to get the sequence right.

The replacement conversion kit may require small adjustments to the existing mounting holes in the door. The previous parts were smaller than the new conversion kit which required drilling out the door knob hole to a slightly larger size to accomondate the new conversion kit. Otherwise, the kit worked great and was easy to install once the door knob openings were adjusted.

Part of the metal casting that retains the thumb latch broke. This kit came with more than what we needed but it was a life-saver and fit and works perfectly. I replaced everything that the kit came with because why not? Living in a 2-family house, we would want our lock / handle sets to match. Replacing both with the kind of quality of the Canterbury would have cost over $1200. $43 here and good as new, maybe better. Total job took me about 15 mins. I'm very handy so I would expect to put aside 30 mins if you haven't done something like this before. Thank You!

This was a repair for a 20 year old Baldwin Logan handleset. All parts fit well and function perfectly. The price was FAR below other options I had found
