The choice is yours.
I like these shoes / boots. Not thee most but, I do. I wear a 7 in Converse and 8 / 8.5 in Nikes. The size 8 in these fit a little big but "doable". I would use them on long errand rides or for piece of mind safety riding on the freeway. They're very stylish and have been pretty durable so far after a month of use. (about 3 times a week for an hour of commute riding.) A little expected wear from shifter but not major. A bit bulky for a reason though. I consider it a riding boot version of Chuck Taylor All Stars. Very good ankle support! Good traction on asphalt. Pretty comfortable. Maybe better if the insole was changed out to an athletic or gel type of your choice. I will find that out after I wear out the ones I got them with though. I would recommend them. If you can try them on or take a look at them at your local motorcycle gear shop, and find them here on Amazon for 10 to 15 dollars cheaper with free shipping... Get them. If you like them enough.

A sturdy shoe for your protection.
They are very comfortable shoes, robust in the heel and ankle. They make you feel that you are protected. It may be that the sole is not the most durable (according to other users' reviews) but they feel very resistant and very strong at the tip of the shoe. About the size I am size 8.5 and I ordered the Size 8 and they were fair, you could say perfect. I think one more number and I don't count it. My recommendation is to measure your foot well before placing your order. Lace holes should be optional, if one wishes to use them. I think I will feel more comfortable and safe than wearing a simple tennis when riding the bike at kilometers per hour with feet feet from the ground.

If I didn't have to punch my own shoelace holes It'd be 5 stars.
I debated giving the shoe 3 stars, but ultimately this is a shoe I will wear often and happily. My issue is with the shoelaces. the unused grommets and upturned flaps looked ridiculous and caused the shoe to fit strangely. Looking at the images of the product, there's no way to know that these grommets are, in fact, useless decoration. I ended up having to run a heavy duty awl through each grommet to pierce a layer of leather and fabric and jam the shoelace though. This was tedious, but ultimately successful and now the shoe fits right and looks like a normal shoe.Pro:good fit (needed relacing for me, but ultimately good fit)quality leather and stitchingcomfortable all dayCon:useless decorative grommetsgreat looking

Buy these for motorcycle/scooter riding
Great for riding motorcyle/scooters. I like they way these look and they feel great. Very thick which is not so great in Hawaii but they have good protection. The thumb hooks used to pull the shoes on are not sturdy. One broke within a week so I do not use them. However, this does not affect the shoe itself. I replace the shoe strings with a speed zip so I can slip these on and off easier. Had these for several months and use daily and very satisfied. Not good for walking around so I carry slippahsss....

Functional pair of riding shoes.
Definitely comfortable, good looking shoes. Just dont be me and make sure you tie them snug all the way up. Broke my ankle in 3 places and dislocated it in a wreck last month and I'm convinced my ankle would of help up if they were placed all the way up and snugged.. outside of that they have the old skate shoe feel with the over padded ankle support and I'll definitely grab another pair before I'm able to ride again.

Very thick sole seems to add like an inch to my height
The fact that this is a regular looking shoe was very appealing to me. However, the ankle and toe is very thickly padded. Anxious to see how well the material holds up from shifting. There is minimal tread on the shoes, bottom feels almost slippery fresh out of the box. Very thick sole seems to add like an inch to my height. Design and looks are true to the picture. Will try to update after a month of use.

Good riding shoe
So I bought these in black, dont be fooled by the pictures! They are a true black, not a greyed black like they seem. They run true to size, maybe slightly bigger to accommodate thicker socks which is perfect. Pretty good reinforcing around the toes and ankle, they'd do pretty well in a crash I'd imagine. Pretty warm when you're just walking around in them, but good when you're riding. Im pleased overall, we will see how they hold up over time

Great shoe for wide feet
I have wide feet and it's always a pain to find shoes that fit me. I was very hesitant to order shoes offline but the local selection is very limited for motorcycle shoes. I usually wear a 12 wide. I ordered a 12 and they fit great! They are very comfortable while riding my bike but if you plan on doing alot of walking, you might want to invest in some better insoles.
