This is a mostly illustrative book of duck species including color paintings of male and female birds along with paint color mixing guide. The publisher did a great disservice by scaling down the drawings. All drawings must be enlarged by 1.25 to be full scale. This makes the book must less usable than if it was full scale. Drawings must be scaled up with a copier or other methods which requires additional and unnecessary steps. Some of the paint mixing instructions could be more clear as to the specific location and I would like to see more photos of actual birds. Overall a good book, but would be much improved as a full scale book.
