Nice idea and good to put on a bit of paracord. Note 550 paracord is a bit difficult to thread through the holes but possible. Would only ever use as a back up and have one of mine on my Leatherman Charge Plus.

Not very practical for every day use, But that's not what it's for, as a back up or for carrying at all times tucked away on necklace or on boot laces and such like it's very handy if fiddly. I have bought a few and have used them to good effect. Overall a great little bit of kit and I happily recomend

Pretty hard to throw a good spark off, but that could be down to me. Make nice gifts though.

These are exactly what I wanted to finish off a few knives I've made. They are fiddly to use but they work, so as an emergency tool they pass the test. I found I needed to scrape the rod flat before it would get a decent spark but I've lit fires with it and will always have one on me.

Sorry but I just can't recommend these. Thought they were a good idea at the time because I could lace them to my boots but they're just too small to be useful. Their tiny size makes them very difficult to grip hold of and strike at the same time, especially difficult if you have big thumbs and big hands. If they were just 1 or 2cm longer I would recommend.

I struggle to use it so much due to its size, when I do get a spark, it's very large and very well concentrated, just the simple issue that I worry more about cutting my finger off then I do the fire.

For making stuff like this they are great and they work very well.

Ideal for paracord bracelets or zip pull ornaments never be without the means to make fire ever again
