97% Good
Upon recommendation from a customer, I dropped the big G on this one. Pretty much, it's like sitting in the hand of god. Quality construction, solid feel, and very comfy; I feel like it forces me to have good posture (in a good way). My only concerns are:- The lumbar support is supposed to be movable up and down, can't figure out how to do that.- The lateral adjustments for the armrest don't lock, just click in place in certain positions. The click points are pretty loose, and just sitting in the chair I tend to force them out. Wish they would lock in place (am I missing something??).- Pretty unnerving (if not somewhat unprofessional) that you need to actually poke a hole in the mesh seat back to install the lumbar cable. Worries me that it may fray in the future and compromise the construction. Also, I added to 3rd party fully adjustable headrest (matching mesh one, not the cheaper leather pillow one). It truly did "complete" the chair for me.Overall, great chair and living up to expectations. Would have gotten 5 stars if it wasn't for the adjustment concerns.

Chair came in ripped!
I’m sure chair itself is good but seller is horrible. Chair came coming apart at the seams of the mesh backing. Not sure how you can charge so much for a clearly poor condition product and market as like new. Shame

Great Chair
This is a great chair. I bought a used one about 10 years ago. That one broke, so I replaced it with this one. One of the things I really like about this chair is that the seat can be raised higher than usual, so I have a good angle sitting at my desk. I live in Florida, so the cooling effect of the mesh material is very helpful. I bought those rollerblade type wheels when I bought the chair and attached those. I never used the original wheels. I recommend them. This chair is as comfortable as the last one.The description and photo are not entirely accurate. The photo has a particular type of lumbar adjustment which is not what I received. What I got was fine, but it is not what is in the photo. Also, the description says the arm pads are leather, and the ones that were delivered are vinyl. Neither one of these things is a big deal and I am going to keep the chair, but if you are very particular, you may want to be mindful of this. There are so many models and variable options that if you are super-particular, you should go to a Herman Miller authorized dealer.

Sits low for a 5'-11" man
It sits low. It's really lower than I'd like. It didn't come with assembly instructions or directions for use.

This chair works miracles, it cures back pain and makes you more productive.
My back has been reborn thanks to this miracle chair!!! As a full-time computer geek, I am mandated to spend hours sitting in a comatose state with a keyboard and monitor and this chair is an absolute "must-have". Disregard all of the negative reviews, I was very skeptical at first because of the reviews, but after sitting on this chair my back experienced such heavenly relief. A small caveat, it does take some time for the body to adjust to this chair. At first sitting, it may seem like too much hardware for your body and you may experience some pressure points around the knees, buttocks and probably the elbows, but after your body acclimates to this chair and after you adjust it to perfectly fit your seating preference, this chair is a dream. I can sit 8 hours straight without any back discomfort. Super stylish to use in your home office or living room. The chair is very durable, built with exceptional quality and good grade elegant steel structure so they are built to last, yet seems lightweight because of the fabric mesh. The fabric mesh also stretches slightly to maintain the perfect amount of support around your back. This chair is the best decision I ever made for my back and productivity.

4.5 stars-fantastic chair-get the options!
I got this as a wonderful birthday present, so I have no financial stake in it. Knowing that at near $1000 with options you've got to REALLY like a chair or have it in fact make you $$$$ by allowing you to work longer factored into my rating, so even with what may seem like a lot of cha-ching for a cha chair I still gave it near 5-stars. We had these in the recording studio I worked at for 5 years- 10-15 hours a day for weeks on end making records, and they were a Godsend. For my birthday chair I'll use in my home office, I did opt for the posture-fit lumbar, and the black leather arms. For me, being just under 6' the positioning seems perfectly fine, and the install was pretty straight forward if you use caution when cutting the hole for the adjustment cable. This is the main reason I didn't give it 5-stars; for $900+ "take a sharp object and rip the fabric" should not be a part of any official instructions-how hard would it be to have 3-4 reinforced eyelet choices perforated into the back? Those would cover 99.9% of the possible positions. With that said, done correctly I forsee the seat itself wearing out long before the raw cable through the hole would do any harm. Unless you have 10 different body types sitting in it a day, the lumbar support is fairly set and forget. The other luxury I went for and am SO HAPPY I DID was the leather arms. The rest of the chair surfaces are breathable mesh of excellent quality, but like a leather steering wheel in a car interior this is the only part of the chair in most instances where it comes in contact with your skin, unless you're into some kinky late-night naked stuff in front of your computers I don't want to know about...probably...do I?? And this leather feels really good on your arms-very very soft, giving an air of quality you're reminded of every time you sit down. And at this price, even though I keep reading it's a relative bargain among high end chairs, it's nice to have a tactile reaffirmation on something most mortals wouldn't spend this kind of $$$ on. I highly reccommend it!
