LSSP491524AE Battery Replacement Compatible with Fitbit Surge Fitness Superwatch FB501

The title pretty much summarizes my experience. Incredibly unimpressive for something I had high hopes for. Super excited to find this available, I'd purchased this to replace my existing Fitbit Surge battery that was averaging only a couple of days vs. the previous 5-days I'd enjoyed. This kit was really nice, including tools to detach the band and open the watch. One tool broke, but I was able to work around this. Soldering this in was straightforward and this fit in perfectly. Per another reviewer's recommendation, I'd allowed this to completely charge overnight. Unfortunately, I've learned quickly this battery barely exceeds a day before needing recharging, defeating the purpose of my purchase. Unsure if I care to take the time to re-open my Fitbit Surge again to remove this and resolder back in the old one to return this, as it's inconvenient and every time we open these watches designed to not be worked on, we risk issues. I'd attempted communicating with the seller to learn if these were old dying stock or if they had recommendations on improving the life but hadn't heard back, leading me to believe they'll be unlikely to respond if anyone needs to take advantage of the 1-year warranty. Perhaps if your battery is completely dead and unusable would this be a suitable purpose as it does fit nicely, and is, as another reviewer stated "better than nothing". If you get >a day of battery life, keep your Fitbit Surge as it is.

The battery worked for me. However, it came with no instructions. There was a good YouTube that walked me through the process. I bought this one because it came with the tools. If you have the correct screwdrivers, the is no need for the tools. Also, I did not see it mentioned anywhere that I would need to solder the battery leads ... just a heads up. Overall, it took me about 30 minutes to complete.

did not work for me. The overall size was too large to fit and replace the original. The company was prompt to refund my money.

This battery only holds a charge for 24 hours before it needs to be recharged. Terrible product. It looks like I’m going to have to go with another type of fitness watch. The effort and cost to replace the battery in a Fitbit is just not worth it with this product since you have to replace the band also when you do the job.

Not easy to install due to the soldering, the battery is smaller than the old one, after a month of using it, won’t last more than18 hours. The old one at least will keep working 24 hours with my normal usage. 5 txt message, 4 call notifications, Bluetooth on

Battery wasn't installed right away as I was waiting for soldering kit. Installed the battery and it worked for about 2 weeks and now a full charge lasts less than 24 hours. Now outside of the return window. Very disappointed!

The small screwdriver was absolutely worthless... had to source a different one. Youtube had a great video for the procedure. New battery saved an otherwise dead Fitbit Surge. Fit perfectly.

Great deal and the Install processes is easy, if you take your time and look at how too on You tube. The only down side, is that I got about a 48 hour charge with the new battery. But the watch is functional again.
