Non stick black coating on aluminum bowl and inner lid is some kind of plastic and silicone gourmet insert.

Q: Is the long grain menu option for long grain white rice only? (what about long grain brown rice?)

As of yet I have never tried out the long grain brown rice. I’m sorry I cannot help you out with this question. I mainly use it for white and jasmine rice.

Q: What is the minimum rice I can cook?

According to the manual, the minimum for plain white rice is 1 cup for the 5.5-cup rice cooker and 2 cups for the 10-cup version.
