Completely zips and encloses....I don't know how well it will hold up to animals who chew, but I walk my cat in it and it's perfect.

Q: Would my dog be able to see me when we walk? Can the top be put down?

Yes, your dog will be able to see you .The top only goes down partway so your dog would have some shade if you wanted

there are four front wheels and two back wheels I originally purchased the strolled to take my two male cats for walks together, but this stroller is too flimsy for that. the tubing it is made from is rather thin and flexible. I would give it 3 stars for that reason if I were to rate it. oh, and the wheels are tiny so rough terrain is difficult.
