Beautiful high-quality lamp
I bought two to go on my guest bedroom and I think they look beautiful. The stain glass is actually stained glass and is not plastic. It has a good weight to it and the craftsmanship is again beautiful.

Not plastic. Art glass. Dale Tiffany's technique.
Awesome lamp. True to the description. Disregard the uninformed reviewers who state that the shade is plastic. It is not. It is art glass, rolled in paper and covered in copper foil- Dale Tiffany stamped. The weight of the shade alone lets you know that it is metal and glass (slightly less dense in mass and less weight than regular heated glass, but weighty). It is beautiful and worth the money in my opinion.

Very pretty lamp!
This is a very pretty lamp. When lit the main section is a bit pinkish which is not suitable for everyone but it’s a perfect bedroom lamp. It is not true glass but has the beauty of glass. The base is well made and sturdy. It’s a two bulb lamp. Each bulb has its own pull chain on/off switch. At the price point it’s worth the money.

Shade is ? Plastic OR Glass as advertised?
A critical evaluation:I have many "Tiffany Style Lamps " as table lamps, free standing ones, pendants for dinning table and center isle and some Cala lilies lamps too. So, I am very familiar with it overall. I adore all of them.This one :1) Arrived well packaged in styrofoam2) Beautiful lamp stand . It is metal and sturdy.3) The design is good. Color is beige. Not exactly cream as it shows in the picture. But, still good.4) The peacock theme is beautiful as well.Not so good features:1) The shade although says is 16" diameter, it does not look like it. May be due to the cone shaped appearance.2) It is a bit small for a bedroom / nightstand use.3) The oil that is rubbed for protection had a horrible stench and also the lamp shade was fully " covered" in it as another reviewer stated. You will need a dry soft cloth to completely rub it off.4) If placed on a nightstand, you will have some light on your face while lying down. You may want to consider a " dome shaped" lamps instead.5) Dale Tiffany stamped it as " glass". . It really appears and feels as though plasticI liked this lamp for an office perhaps. Not for living room or bedroom. It appeared small. Will return both( opened only one box ) and get a better shaped and sized shade to meet all purposes.
